Company values. That's one of the benefits of Lowend providers; you get to vote with your money. I choose to support providers that stand up for their customers or offer them flexibility and freedom in terms of speech and info provided during registration.

The best LET providers are the ones that I never need to contact their support. If I find myself needing to open tickets regularly for a VPS I'll just abandon the service and move on instead.

You can read it as "require as few information about the client as possible" or "don't punish customer for entering gibberish into their first and last name"
