Idle.
But seriously, if you don't have ipv6 client connectivity:
Additionally if you have ipv6 capable clients:
Cancel it
but
P/S: my ipv6 only vps is currently do the same as the ipv4 vps, idling
Use it
submit a work order to get ipv4
You can use it for anything you want?
It's not that limiting anymore.
Use it to talk to @yoursunny
I think he's the only person using IPv6.
what is "work order"? submit a ticket?
u r right.
I know that guy.I am very interested in his experiences
@yoursunny i think he has the same ipv6 fetish as you
not at all actually
A mirror for acceleration or a backup node of one of the origin servers.
i dont buy it
Some of us who have OVH servers with lottery IPv6 pipes are forced to use IPv6 to get gigabit upload for the cheap. My KS-GAME-LE for example is 300 mbps up on v4 and 1000 mbps up on v6 so we’ve been reconfiguring our setup to make extensive use of IPv6 to maximize the gigabit port.
ping6 google.comOK, it works...
To spend your money!
be happy with it!
What a good question. I run I2P and host an image of my cat on my IPv6 VPS, https://matthew.384.cz. The image is loaded every time someone visits my website.
Btw, how can I get an IPv6 user flair, like the one yoursunny has?
can also run bots or APIs if ur client supports ipv6. cheap way to offload tasks.
My VPNs don't support IPv6
They I would suggest to look for a different VPN provider
Like.. it's 2025, having odd ISPs with no IPv6 support is one thing, but servers without IPv6 are slowly getting uncommon.
A blog with cloudflare.
Nah it’s just bc proton hasn’t expanded IPv6 support to Mac and iOS yet…but it hasn’t really been an issue for me thus far
@MannDude any plans for IPv6 on IncogVPN?
Sure,vps
This is true, there are tons of use cases.
I am using iSCSI over IPv6 too host my encrypted containers for backups. While security through obscurity is not really a thing, in the case of /64, good luck guessing my IP or scanning for it, plus, good luck decrypting my containers or deleting them on a ro FS, even if you could crack iSCSI.
Unfortunately large storage IPv6 only is not available, I am using my OVH and other servers for this, and they come with IPv4 too. Many containers/VMs there have only IPv6 (NATed IPv4 only here and there).
If you are worried about accessing on the road when you are on some shitty ISP without IPv6, you can still use at least RDP if not able to setup some routing box.
ipv6 is for cool people, if you know you know.
edit: I got lost reading the responses and forgot the point. I have no idea what you'd use ipv6-only vps for, idling I guess.
@yoursunny give some advise to this guy.
Throw it away
