Yea its very Strange. Its Not congestion anywhere and all delivered at least are The Same node
I try something. I See Something was Changed in Alma 9 for the networking in The Kernel? As thats basically The First node/hypervisor i use alma 9 on itself. Should have done 8 instead. what a mess....
Im debugging, fixing and will Update Those via Ticket affected.
I also See it only Happens on some OS Templates.

I will do some Experiments with a Test vps and Change networking Driver and some Things to See If that fixes the weird issue

I tried installing debian 11/12 from different sources and not using the provided OS images but still the same low speed

  • @HostSlick Can you enable noVNC in Virtualizor? I want to reinstall OS manually without templates.

Yes, kinda around or less than 100 Mbps

Dear Customer, there are currently network issues with our AMS connection. Our Dark Fiber is also affected. Although our team is already working to resolve the problem, you might currently experience slowdowns or downtimes due to this.

We apologize for the problems caused by this and will update you once the situation is solved. Thank you for understanding!

    Update

Dear Customer, we did find a Road work in a street near our datacenter and there is a fibercut. We expect that this is our fiber. We did inform the company now and expect the fix within today

    Update: At 14:50 CET

We found out that its probably not a fibercut. It seems that one of our fiber repeaters is broken. We drive to the place and replace the broken Module. It takes ETA 3 hours. We hope the issue is fixed then.

Further and Last Updates only via our Website,Tickets and E-Mails

I am sorry. We do not restock it even there are cancellations. Thanks.
Given the amount of more important projects, We keep the spare resources empty for now and not make another Sale till Summer (or end of summer because of my vacation leave). im working to provide all still pending ones till end of week"

    https://hostslick.com/clients/announcements/86/Network-Impact-19.06.2025--Problem-solved.html

    Dear Customers

We would like to inform you that the network issue affecting our Amsterdam connection, which began at 13:00 CET, has been fully resolved as of 18:12 CET today.

The root cause was a failure in one of the fiber repeaters in our datacenter's fiber path to AMSTERDAM, which spans over 300km. Our technician replaced the faulty module, and full connectivity has now been restored. As this is a longer fiber path there is 4 repeaters in between and one had made failure that wasnt able to restore the path.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused during this period and thank you for your patience while we worked to resolve the issue.

To further strengthen our infrastructure and prevent similar incidents in the future, HostSlick will soon book a dedicated wavelength (wave) to Frankfurt, where we plan will probably open a new Point of Presence (PoP) at Interxion using our own equipment. This strategic investment will provide increased redundancy and ensure greater reliability for our services.

We are also seeing significantly increased traffic demands in the coming months — in the range of 100G to 400G+. As we serve customers in the Video on Demand and Streaming sectors, maintaining maximum redundancy and uptime is absolutely essential. This growth enables and motivates us to further expand and harden our network with this secondary POP.

This incident has reinforced the importance of robust network design, and we are taking all necessary steps to improve resilience and service continuity.

Thank you for your continued trust in HostSlick.

    Best regards,
    HostSlick Support Team

  • @HostSlick Why are you ignoring a customer's request for VNC? It would only take you a few seconts to enable it, so please do, it is severely impacting the usuability of the VPS and it is not a good customer experience, so far this has been the worst I have been treated by a hosting provider, which is really disappointing because I thought you had a good reputation before this.

  • thank you for your continued thrusts

    Nice AI message.

Also again reacting after an incident. I've been a customer of this DC for almost a year now, I've not had 2 weeks without incident, and most of the incidents are due to DC/connectivity.

Providers are already looking to place their equipment elsewhere because of this - and I can understand. Always words in hindsight about "it's important to have redundancy with our type of customers", but that could have been foreseen. Same goes for the capacity issues that were there for months, power issues of the DC, etc.

Things can happen. But for most situations you can prepare. A good DC does. And not after an incident, but before.

  • It seems that they are not willing to process the refund. Do you have any successful refund cases? My refund request has not been addressed, and I paid via PayPal. Please let me know what steps I need to take.

The planned action/reaction, Thats my own Network. Not the DCs. I speak for Hostslick. Not the Datacenter. Nor do i Care what other Providers do. Not my business

For me myself i get waves to Frankfurt with enough capacity to Shift over in such case where AMS Fiber may Break. So we at least have our external upstream GTT and The Others which are planned via a other path while we also have the Datacenters Transit where we also have a few hundred gbit which mainly goes Over AMS.

Are you skylink customer? Because i See in case of Heartbeat Network Problems thread i only see blaming skylink when its Heartbeats own issue ?

Otherwise i dont see any Provider moving out.

Our Transports to nikhef (we even have own Network Equipment there and i was told we are The only customer now with 100G waves AMS that use in nikhef their own Equipment and only use the dwdm) Work fine. No issues by the way. And in our case they cant even see if it Works or Not or The Traffic via it.

Please Stop talking nonsense all the time
