WorldStream's AMD EPYC alternative

I'm looking for an alternative to WorldStream. I've been using their services for a year, but I'd like to switch to another host since they've started increasing their prices.

I'm currently using their AMD EPYC 7402P server with the following specs:

  • 2× 480GB Enterprise SSDs
  • 2× 16TB HDDs
  • 1Gbps port w/ 50TB bandwidth per month

Preferably located somewhere in the EU (e.g., the Netherlands).

The server is used as an API server and for media encoding (FFmpeg + ImageMagick). I'm also hosting some questionable content, such as hentai, but I’ve been using a proxy server to prevent complaints from reaching the main host.

Currently using around 20TB of bandwidth per month, but this will likely increase in the future as I'm planning to launch another project. I'd prefer a provider that allows adding extra HDDs later on.

Budget: $150–200/month

  • @gigahost I have a similar one with them. They have added disks as I've requested without issues!

Gigahost.no looks like what I'm looking for. How much do they charge for extra HDDs?

You can contact them on https://gigahost.no/kontakt-oss
they do have a discord community server if you want to ask there.

  • Never mind, after some research I found out that Gigahost is just Terrahost rebranded. I had some issues with them XD

We could offer this in Frankfurt, Germany:

    AMD EPYC 7402P (Geekbench: 10476)
    128GB RAM
    2x 512 GB NVMe
    2x 20 TB HDD
    1Gbit/s Uplink
    50TB Traffic

    $189/Month

If you are open to other CPUs, a 5950X would also be an option. It has slightly better performance and is a bit cheaper.

    AMD Ryzen 9 5950X (Geekbench: 12089)
    128GB RAM
    2x 512 GB NVMe
    2x 20 TB HDD
    1Gbit/s Uplink
    50TB Traffic

    $169/Month

If you are interested, just send me a DM.
We can also change some of the specs if you want to.

NSFW content is allowed as long as it is legal. We can put you in a 12 bay chassis, but adding HDDs might take a bit of time, generally the rate would be $30/month per 20TB HDD.

What was your issue w/ them if you dont mind sharing?

    • 2x16TB HDD (Up to 4xHDDs possible at 19€ per 16TB and 29€ per 22TB HDD)

All other AMD Ryzen 7000 and 9000 CPUs are possible aswell. If you need more than 4xHDDs, we can also offer Intel Xeon servers with up to 12xHDDs.

As long as your activities are legal, we generally don't have any issues, also including your stated use-case.

  • Thanks OP for at least having a very reasonable budget and not asking for all those specs for $40 a month. Always nice to see a service request thread that can be fulfilled at/above specs, or at/below budget.

All the providers that posted here are pretty good, but I would suggest consulting with them in PMs or on their support to ensure you all are on the same page before purchasing. Neither of you will want any ugly surprises.
