Looking for backup service for Synology NAS
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a reliable and scalable backup solution for my Synology NAS. Here are my main requirements:
Support for automatic backups (scheduled or continuous)
Integration with Synology (Hyper Backup, Rsync, WebDAV, or similar)
Versioning support – I want to be able to restore files from specific points in time (e.g. from a week ago)
Designed to handle large data – currently planning for around 8 TB total, but backups will be smaller at first, so it needs to be scalable over time
Reasonable pricing – I’m open to self-hosted options (like VPS with storage), S3-compatible services, or anything reliable with good privacy
If anyone’s using a setup like this or has any recommendations, I’d really appreciate it.
