Yeah, make sure your primary PayPal address matches the email you use to sign up with us. You can add an additional contact later to get billing notices and other updates on your other email address.

  • It's been over a day and my three Macs are still downloading all the messages via IMAP with macOS Mail app (2 Macs for one account, and the third Mac for the other account). They are both in the same network at the moment so they share the same IP. Am I hitting some kind of rate limit with IMAP?

Don't remember but was it possible to use this for web hosting as well? With PHP+mysql/mariadb?
MyW user and thinking about getting in here instead.

Not at all. This is email only, no way to host minus file sharing via the cloud storage.

Nothing on our end, but not sure what the Mac side has/is doing. IMAP should only be grabbing headers I would think?

Normally it downloads all emails, and I have done it many times and this is the first time where it seems to do it super slowly. Weird

I understand that the plans cannot be migrated from US to EU, but anyone have a foolproof guide on how to manually move the domains / emails along with all data from US to EU?

I'll try to put together an FAQ on it, but the summary is:

    1. Purchase EU plan and add the domain
    2. DO NOT enable SpamExperts from the start, if it's enabled it'll immediately switch your domain to the EU server as destination
    3. Seriously don't do it unless you want your emails blackholed until you setup accounts/aliases
    4. Bulk create accounts/aliases from CraneMail portal
    5. Kick off mailbox migrations within those accounts, or use IMAPSync locally (would suggest the local route today, the migration queue is gonna be hurting)
    6. Once you've got accounts created and ready to receive mail again, enable Spam Experts from the Domain Settings in our portal
    7. Send a test email externally to confirm stuff is getting delivered to the new server

Can ask if this can be done with the SAME domain in the US to EU and can someone who may have successfully done shed a little more on the steps?

Yes, you just have to do the verification again and it'll work. The only restriction is the a domain can't point to the same server more than once, but you can do the same domain to us1 & eu1 and it's fine.

This is a recent change to assist with us->eu migrations.

Do you have a knowledge base that summarizes the content mentioned in several related posts on cranemail at LET?

  • brown2brown2 Member

Does anyone know if any of the following is possible? If it is possible, a hint of what I should be Googling for more information would be appreciated.

    1. Based on a criteria redirect an email to a different mailbox

    2. Based on a criteria add a custom header to an email

An example criteria could be a matching regex within any header or a specific header field like from, to or subject.

I will probably be using Spam Experts but I can only find rules which just accepts / rejects an incoming email as the action it does seem to allow you change the action of the rule to something like redirect or add-header etc.

    Thanks

Hi, is it possible to have multiple emails accounts active session on the webmail client?

I would like to use multiple account and switch between then easily on one client.

One trick for 2 accounts is to use the workspace.org URL for one account and your webmail.domain for the other.

  • If just two sessions you can use the incognito mode on the browser for the second sessions or just use a different browser or a combination of these. If you need more sessions within one browser you can try Firefox containers which can isolate the cookies per tab group.

  • What do I need to configure to be able to use emails like [email protected]?

When you edit a user you'll see the User grouping. Plus Addressing is at the bottom.

You can also change the User Defaults to enable it for all of your users, and even propagate the change to everyone.

I can't find this anywhere in the domain or mailbox settings. Does this work with spamexperts enabled?

    Yes, SE doesn't care.

You need to login as a domain admin, and then go to accounts, and click the user.

    Found now, thanks.

  • How long does it take for the change to take effect?

  • It's been a few minutes and I am still getting "550 no mailbox by that name is currently available" when sending an email from Gmail to a plus address.

  • So, the mailbox I have been testing with is [email protected]. Now it's working with [email protected], but not with the address I need that I was trying before, [email protected].

  • Sorry for the many messages, but besides this I am having another problem: downloading emails from IMAP seems quite slow. I didn't have this problem with the US version.

Let me know if it still happens. I had made a change to filesystem caching trying to resolve a different issue but that seemed to cause the slow downs.

It should work for all of hello+*. Does somethingelse exist as a folder? Or how do you have it sorting the emails?

    Sure, I'll let you know.

It should work for all of hello+*. Does somethingelse exist as a folder? Or how do you have it sorting the emails?

Before I figured out the plus addressing with your help, I temporarily created an alias "somethingelse" but then deleted it. is this the reason?

CalDav not showing any calendar to sync on Vivaldi. This is on a completely new account. Tasks, however, show up when connecting to caldav on Tasks.org android app.

Edit: Fixed by adding account through a different window
