Why not?
Most of the providers rent some dedicated/VPS from datacenter, then when they have some problem, they don't really can do anything just "raise" a ticket to datacenter.

we rent the space directly from the datacenters we work with in france and germany.
All used hardware ( server, network, what ever ) and IP addresses are our own.
do you need provider to own the subsea cable as well

in general our main business is reseller hosting.
The question is what actually you want to resell. Please be a bit more specific what exactly you want to resell and what exactly are your requirements. This way, maybe, other providers have the chance to think about if there is space for cooperation.
By Reseller hosting,
I mean reseller shared hosting, with Cloudlinux, Litespeed etc.
Just this time I prefer (if possible) from provider that own the gear.

There are providers who owns the datacenter itself, and there are owns the gear (rent the space) from datacenter and they care to the gear, means put DevOPS/System Administrator guy at the datacenter to take care about the problems.
Interested in small owner, I never see them.
Hi! We own our own datacenter in Lithuania. Our other locations are private cage space in Equinix/Coresite facilities. We own 100% of our hardware and network stack.
Yeah.. by "We own our own hardware and colocate it" provider here really mean: "We still depend on remote hands and if do not pay our invoices hardware will be confiscated, also if core switch dies we depend on remote hands and SLA we have"
For example I know @Clouvider lives in London area and can attend any of London DC's in matter of 1-2h. Which usually is not case if you are not local to DC. Maybe @Francisco same in LV (?) but def. not when it comes to other locations for both
We have our own techs in every location we're present in, and redundant core switching infrastructure of course. This is pretty standard for larger providers.
We employ engineers local to most of our facilities or have other (non-remote hands) arrangements for the smallest sites.
This forum needs better rules, guy has strict requirements and yet some folks come and advertise themself when they dont match op criteria.
Same with a lot of other threads, some mention strict budget and yet some provider come with offer over it.
