I have an AX101 in FSN that I can free up for you if you DM me a decent offer. Current renewal price is €71.70/month
If OP doesn't take it I can pay 1.5x of the monthly cost for transfer.
Can you sell it to me? Thank you
I already made the payment and I'm just waiting for the transfer code. I wanna get rid of my AX101 which renews at ~90 euros if you're interested.
What price?
Hi LETers in this thread -- if you or anyone else ever needs a quick guide on how to do a transfer like this, we have the steps here. At the top of the article, there is also info about the "Marktplatz" on our customer forum, which is another good place to look for people who are looking for servers/offering servers for transfer. --Katie
Ah damn.... was busy last days.....
@sk29 you got dm - or do you already give it away?
Still looking for an AX101.... zzzzZZZZzzzzZZZZzzzz
I swear - I am still looking for an AX101
I think @labze might be retiring a bunch since he's phasing out his 5950X VPSes, although I'm unsure if he can do a service transfer as a business client.
small bump for a big AX101 - still looking for one
bump - still looking for one
Slightly off topic but maybe also relevant for all transfers here in the thread: how does that explanation regarding invoicing plays together with the new Hetzner invoicing?
Will it divide a server bill into hourly invoicing before/after transfer to person A (outgoing) resp. person B (incoming) or will person B will get the unpaid time on his next invoice?
E.g. server is paid April 1st to April 30th by Person A on persons A invoice issued on May 15th.
The server gets transferred on May 18th.
Will person A get an invoice for May 1st until May 18th (hourly) and person B an invoice for May 18th until May 31st hourly (regarding the invoices issued in June for May)?
Or will person B have to pay the whole month of May (1st to 31st) even if he only gets the server on May 18th?
Actually I pay per month. So if my server would be transferred, it would work as option A....
.... but I will see
Just a copy paste from their faq:
https://docs.hetzner.com/robot/dedicated-server/general-information/server-transfers-between-robot-customers/#transfer-without-the-marktplatz
Invoicing
Robot automatically generates invoices. Once an invoice has already been generated, it can't be changed. Person A pays any invoices that Robot has ALREADY created. Person B pays for any NEW invoices AFTER THE TRANSFER. The invoices for Person B will already include the VAT information for Person B.
Yes I know that quote, but that has not changed when Hetzner reworked their general invoicing process (see here: https://docs.hetzner.com/general/others/new-billing-model/ ). Now you have either this hourly charges or monthly charges (first to last day of month) invoiced in the next month (and depending on your invoicing date, sometimes quite late in the next month).
E.g. if person A gets invoiced on the 28th of a month (for the previous month) and transfers a server on the 26th (let's say May), that quoted text from Hetzner sounds as if person B would have to pay Hetzner for full April and full May of that server (as it not gets invoiced anymore for person A on May 28th) even while only getting access on May 26th.
So that's the new confusion and sth. for @Hetzner_OL to explain.
@OhJohn - I double checked with the billing team on this question because I hadn't seen it before, but my instincts were right.
Let's say Person A transfers a server to Person B like 10 days into Person A's billing period. Then Person A would pay for the hourly rate for those 10 days.
Whether or not Person B would pay depends on how long they use the server during their billing period after the transfer takes effective, for just a few hours, part of the month or most of the month -- the starting dates for customers' billing periods change from person to person. --Katie
So that is what I thought as it would make sense, thank you @Hetzner_OL for re-checking this.
You might want to consider to update your explanations at this page here: https://docs.hetzner.com/robot/dedicated-server/general-information/server-transfers-between-robot-customers/#transfer-without-the-marktplatz about invoicing as that wording seems to apply to pre-hourly-billing times (when servers were always billed monthly) which got changed with "the new billing model".
@OhJohn - You're right. I will put that on my to-do list. Thanks for the heads-up. --Katie
