When u answer at ticket or at DM? 2 weeks of waiting… terrible hosting
Not for serious sites. I allowed my friend to host his hobby site for free. Cannot sell (as I have reseller) for money.
Hosting is fine, had a wordpress, it works n stable but yah my ticket on using external smtp eg mxroute 587 is left unanswered for more than a week now.
It was answered within 2 days. Sorry my bad did not receive email notfication though.
I have had a ticket in for almost a week with no response. Found my VPS offline. Their main website is up and status page saying servers are good, but I can not access the control panel for my VPS. No explaination like maintence was being done or that VPSslim is aware of the problem. Sent an email to the general email address [email protected] with no response today. Tried their chat today too which I tried before my almost week old ticket with no response.
Please check the networking status page under your client account.
My VPS is also down for more than 4h already. There's probably about 3 weeks left on this thing but I have already canceled the service.
Their status page is also having a hard time

I have a colo with them and that's down also. Apparantly they're migrating to another DC (again). Wasn't informed.
When called you only get to hear that "all customers have been informed several times by mail". Didn't get any. When that message is repeated several times and you interrupt by "but I didn't get any mail and I manually remove spam so it wasn't regarded as such" you get to hear that "I'll inform the management about your attitude" and phone is hung up.
It's my server they're pulling out of a rack, my services that are online, and a bit of understanding that a customer is unpleasantly surprised by (again) a migration (second one in less than 3 years) would be quite normal.
But it's good to see that I'm not the only uninformed customer...
Yes, my service was also down without notice, unfortunately i didn't backup my last changes.
For me it's much more that's running on my server - if known I'd have relocated some of it just as I did the previous time. And I'd have shut down the server properly. Highly doubt if that has been done now.
Also I was literally 10 minutes before stuff went down starting to change some stuff for my second-level backups (primary are on the server that is down now, copies on my machine at home). The easiest way to do is just to remove the copies and re-sync - guess what... I hope I was able to stop the removal in time. Ofcourse I wouldn't even dream of doing it when I knew this migration would come up.
Murphy had worse days in proving he's right...
Most annoying though is how they react. Also on my ticket the same message as Ralph put just above has been pasted - I guess without even reading the ticket.
Just as he seems to have done here, because he responded on @AMH1896 message that his VPS is down for already a week, while the migration (according to the statusmessage he's referring to) has only started a couple of days ago.
It's a repeating thing with them: when they get to much tickets (sometimes also referred to as spam) they just copy/paste/close/delete bunches of them without realising they close/delete legit tickets or messages.
Mine has been idling for quite some time because everytime I do anything that saturates the network for a couple minutes (and hit the disk I/O a bit) then my VPS gets nullrouted. I got frustrated and moved my services to other providers like GreenCloud, HostHatch and so far my experience has been much better there.
At the end of the day, it's just a €20/yr service hosting some silly stuff. No real loss for me unlike your physical server being moved around without you knowing about it beforehand
For anyone to judge for themselves:
My server went down @15:30 localtime. Apparantly that is "off-peak". Maybe just as "off-peak" as "will notify you".
If you ask a question you don't get an answer and the phone is hung up. On a ticket only a reply "look at the status page".
This was an interesting decision - I never received any emails about a migration or even any issues until I checked the client portal today after my VPS went down. Checked WHMCS email logs and I haven't gotten anything since January.
Same here.
And they now say that "they post updates per hour" and the last one was over 1,5 hour ago. I mean, you say "2 to 4 hours" and after 4 hours you're only halfway with a 10% increase in 1 hour. And IP ranges are still not announced, so I'm really wondering if everything will come online today. Let alone that everything works - last time they misconfigured a port and that took quite some time to find out.
That "we expect to finalize everything in the next few hours" is translated into "10% done in a few hours". At this (decreasing) rate it's done at dawn tomorrow. And then hoping that they are able to announce the IP ranges again...
My VPS (from NL location) also unreachable (looks like offline) since morning, and the control panel (WHMCS) also provide an error message for me:

There is no issue on the status page at the moment. :S
There is a service / server migration at the moment?
I also not received any notification. Where did You found it?
Thx for the help, answer!
The status/announcement is in the client area. They claim that announcements have been made through mail, but the number of people saying they didn't receive it is growing. They can't ignore that IMHO, but the short reaction here and on my ticket that "check the status in your client acount" could indicate that they've also received more complaints.
Currently last update:
It's 05:50 now and ofcourse stuff is still offline. IP ranges are not announced yet.
Offline time well over 14 hours now where according to the "announcement" it should be 2 to 4 hours. If after the 4 hours you are at about 50% racked then I think you've made a far too positive estimation on that and with the knowledge they did also a migration less than 3 years ago I'm putting my question marks on how well preparation has been.
