looking for potential replacement for Mailgun for website emails. Any recommendations?

muddymuddy Member

Have about 50 Wordpress sites that I have Mailgun setup for to send order receipts, password resets, etc. Typically, I have stayed around the 1,000/month email level and as a result end up spending about a buck or two a month. Recently had a client burn through about 10k emails in a month (spammer hitting a crappy forms tool). Kind of thinking about looking at alternatives. I have a bunch of mxroute plans, and I use that on occasion for smaller sites. But it has just felt easier in the past using Mailgun for everything because the service is setup for that kind of email (with various reporting, etc).

If I were to consider standardizing on a single solution for all my sites, what would you folks recommend? Mail.baby is one I've seen here on LET, but have never tried. Looks like a decent product/value. Should I just run everything through mxroute? Other options?

I've been using Mail.baby for a couple of years, had no issues, great pricing. Highly recommend.

Thanks. Might try mail.baby. To be clear, the recent issue I faced was due to a bad forms tool (that I didn't build) with no spam protection or really any granularity in managing lots of submissions. I have since switched to a better tool and haven't had any issues since.

You can check ZeptoMail, 10k emails are 2.5€ which are valid for 6 months.
