    I love Docker

@raindog308 do you have a problem with this as well, nerd?

As long as dockerfiles are edited with vim or emacs, no.

If you edit them with nano...

I edit them in IntelliJ or Zed and git pull them onto the server as they're stored in different repos

So I suspect you're still not proud of me

VS Code does have a vi plugin. I'll let it slide as long as you use a green-text-on-blade color scheme with a monospaced font.

I mean green text on black. But if you want to have Blade a background image, I'd accept that, too, just for reasons of general badassery.

Blade is only disgusting if you're a vampire.

    Are you a vampire?

Because if you thought my opinions on nano were harsh, they're nothing compared to my opinions about bloodsuckers.

If you're using Fastpanel go with their email service - I have not had any issues with deliverability (automatically assigns SPF and DKIM records). I mentioned Cloudpanel and their tutorial for reference and I sense it is favoured in the community but it does not have a built in Mailserver like Fastpanel.

I loaded that yesterday, haven't added a domain yet, still looking though it

  • Fastpanel did not automatically propagate cloudflare settings like cloudron does, I love that feature, so I decided to try cloudpanel , it locked me out of my ssh

    /facepalm

Would that turn emgh into hgme?

"hg me" or in other words, "mercury me"?

I interpret this as either a Freddie Mercury fetish, or some kind of alt-medicine mercury supplementation diet. If the latter, you should discontinue.

If you're a visual learner like me, you can learn Docker and Docker Compose in just one afternoon on YouTube, using Traefik as your reverse proxy. You can even use Cloudflare as your cert resolver.

You do not need any additional tools outside Docker. Nearly all popular apps have a Docker image.

Thanks, I'll look for that, right now I'm back to looking for a host, I got two days each out of the last two.

So thats 2.50 a month but only runs one app?

"Single App environment: $0.003372 per hour or $2.46 per month"

You can run as many environments you want and you get charged based on the actual resource consumption. You can also stop the environments (like dev, staging envs that you might not need online 24x7).

This is how our PaaS bills:

Also, I picked your service in large part to to your advertising high availability, that's included and legit right?

No need for me to run RAID as you've got it covered and in more than one location?

Yes, we run all our services VPS, VDS, PaaS, Hosting on High Availability Clusters. No need for RAID from your side.

Not sure some of your haters grasp that, unless I have it wrong.

We indeed had some months ago few nodes failing due to hypervisor bugs that were fixed. Due to our H/A architecture the recovery was faster than if we weren't running on H/A and there were zero data loss. Of course we understand the frustration of some users.

And when will I see my price lock in and one year extension to my triennial purchase?

This is for our VPS offer and can be ordered here: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/198631/l-o-w-e-s-t-prices-ever-down-to-0-49-month-eff-with-ipv4-high-availability-lifetime-bonus/p1

  • @MassiveGRID said: You can run as many environments you want

No longer matters, you are the host I just dropped, I got

@1001001001 said: locked me out of my ssh

and your fully managed service decided it was easier to help me cancel and be refunded than to help me get back in, see Ticket ID: 747701

The cancellation and refund was efficient BTW

To sum up, the console you provide didn't allow me to see the cursor, neither could I paste code in it,when I got locked out of my ssh by the cloudpanel installation and needed help to fix it I got the same crappy support I seem to get everywhere

I found online where cloudpanel installations cause port changes, if I could have copy/pasted into your console I may have fixed it and been good, but for me use your console without seeing the cursor while trying to type accurately just didn't suit me.

I had four years prepaid and cancelled, I hope that tells you how important customer service is, well, to me at least.

I went in as a small test though and not really upset, is what it is, somewhere I hope to find a host with a ticket system managed by people with a better grasp on customer needs, I don't know but imagine these ticket operators are warehoused like the servers themselves.

It is regrettable though as the promises made it look suitable for the long run.
