No under the table deal? RIP.

That's why I said, show @HostDZire some love for these locations, and they will post some deals ;)

I haven't paid lsw prices, but neither $24/yr since that's just a loss for them since lsw's reseller discount + billing discounts don't even add up.

Good deal! If in SG have this same price, I would grab it ASAP. But US seems too far for me. latency between 200 - 300MS. I'll pass.

FWIW I just published a benchmark and review of my WDC VPS from @HostDZire -> https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/206180/hostdzire-leaseweb-vps-usa-vps-benchmark-and-review/p1

    Spoiler: highly recommended, excellent deal

@zGato said: IOPS seem to be hard limited. Not a big deal for me, and probably neither for most. 25TB @ 10 Gbps is just insane at this price point in APAC (even in EU/NA, it's not that easy to grab)

25k R/W IOPS @ 4k is perfectly fine for all workloads I'm sure. 25TB in APAC at $24/yr is amazing. Also the geekbench single core score for your SG instance is great. 1111!

    Hello,

    @zGato is absolutely correct.

The $24 pricing was made possible only because we decided to sell at zero profit in order to clear our existing stock. About a month ago, we purchased approximately 200 VPS units under Plan #1 during a special deal. Since our purchase cost was slightly below $24, we added a small margin to cover transaction fees and offered the service at $24—purely to clear inventory.

This zero-profit pricing also applied to other plans, such as VPS #2 and #3.

If you check Leaseweb’s website and apply all available discounts, you’ll notice that our pricing was actually lower than their best public offers.

As such, continuing to offer the $24/year price in regions like Singapore, Japan, or even the USA is no longer feasible after this batch is sold out. The best we can offer going forward is:

$36/year for USA locations (similar to what we're offering in SFO and LAX),

    $40/year for Singapore and Japan.

I previously shared the following pricing with @zGato for Plan #1 in Singapore and Japan:

    • $40 annually
    • $72 biennially
    • $99 triennially

I plan to open a new thread soon for this new offer in Singapore and Japan.

Currently, WDC USA Plan #1 is almost sold out—only 21 units remain.
However, other plans still have sufficient stock available.

  • The fomo kicks in...

Do you provide Windows licenses or are they BYOL?

  • These deals are really good so I grabbed one too!

And thanks @zGato for the tips about the reinstall script. I was able to install a fresh debian12 with FDE.

These deals are really good so I grabbed one too!

And thanks @zGato for the tips about the reinstall script. I was able to install a fresh debian12 with FDE.

Hi, could you make a brief step by step how to implement FDE with the reinstall script, thank you.

I haven't implemented any sort of FDE with any reinstall script. None of my VMs are actually encrypted.
But I suppose you can setup LUKS via the Debian/Ubuntu installer

I used the reinstall script to boot to netboot.xyz and installed debian12 with fde.

what about the test ip for SG and jp?

    SG: 142.91.99.5
    JP: 142.91.105.4

    JP would be great...

But that is some SUB optimal routing. Not going via Guam hurts....
