    I got a server with them to tunnel to my homelab using Wireguard since the location isn't far from me, but speeds are under 100Mbps.
    Weird that this still isn't fixed after a month and not giving me any updates + ignoring my replies on the ticket gives me the feeling that they don't care enough to fix the issue

    As above, please open a new ticket and I will check. This should have been resolved for the majority of cases. I know a few clients that still face issue which should be resolved as far as I know when Dataforest introduces symmetric filtering, which should be this month but I think they as I have their hands full at the moment.

    We are currently reaching out due to ongoing issues with the cPanel node CPSG2.
    
    We have worked tirelessly with various system administrators to resolve this issue, but have unfortunately reached the conclusion that we cannot proceed with this node due to inherent system corruption.
    
    While the exact cause is unknown, we suspect a routine upgrade partly has caused this. During a system update Cagefstl were temporarily disabled. Cagefstl is responsible for isolating clients to their own home folder. We highly suspect that this brief disconnect in Cagefstl has caused malicious code to be run altering folder permissions across the entire system, and corrupting essential system files. Client data itself is unaffected. 
    
    We initially attributed this issue to something entirely else - and did manage to resolve the symptoms - however the root cause was not determined at first and the issue repeated itself. This has unfortunately prolonged the time it took for us to act properly on this issue.
    
    The server has been kept online as this issue is only affecting a smaller portion of the accounts. However, the possibility of malicious code being run outside the isolated accounts means that there is a likelihood of unauthorized software being on the node which risks the integrity of the server moving forwards.
    
    What is going to happen now?
    
    We've been hard at work to setup a replacement system. This has now already been setup and we are already importing client data onto this new server. We are recovering accounts from Jetbackup prior to this incident, which means that the account data will be a couple of days old. If you need the newest data migrated over then open a support ticket and we will see what can be done.
    
    The server itself is identical and in the same datacenter. Nothing changes on that.
    
    Unfortunately the IP cannot be moved from our old server, thus any domain who uses A records to point their domains to our server needs to update this to 15.235.188.158. If your domain uses our nameservers then it will automatically update to the new server.
    
    We expect all clients to be migrated within 24-36 hours. You can check if your account has been migrated by logging in to cPanel at cpsg1.hostypanel.com:2083 or WHM at cpsg1.hostypanel.com:2087.
    
    We sincerely apologize for this situation. It is something that shouldn't happen, but unfortunately did.
    
    You can reach out to our support team for compensation due to this issue.

  • Germany DA storage ftp1 server is down indeed. SSH times out. FTP connects occasionally but times out most of the time.
