    @ServerBachelor what say you - ?

    Surprisingly, it's not me. But kudos to whoever set this up. I was never a ColoCrossing customer, so I have no say in the matter. ColoCrossing also isn't crashing out like CharityHost was, so I feel like this is just bad customer service, not a fundamentally unstable person trying to keep a hosting business afloat, or posing a unique risk to his customers' data and privacy.

    (Honestly the similar formatting isn't that surprising; it's an easy way to set up a "TLDR" website. Plus this frontend is smoother than mine.

    Edit: Webmaster also didn't put live links; only archives, or vice versa, in some places. The [number] format is super common as well, I personally got it from Wikipedia.)

    I don't think it's a virtualizor bug.

    Yes they maybe less secure or have Vulnerabilities.

    But in this case I don't think it's a bug.

    It's colocrossing who failed to secure their servers..

    Hacker can also sell 500GB Porn FTP server.

    Yeah, but if the hacker would share all the porn hosted by customers, will that hacker still be a hacker in the eyes of the world? He might end up being a modern Robin Hood, taking from the rich and sharing with the poor.

    Do rich people have stashes of porn on their servers?

    Good point. They could hold recordings of themselves though. In this case it might also be a conspiracy organised by some secret agencies to gain content from their servers and use it as leverage; because legally they could not grab it due to privacy implications. You my friend could be onto some hidden conspiracy here.

    Not that we know of

    There's talk that this incident was due to a human error (at CC) + a Virtualizor bug (so the bug alone wouldn't have been sufficient for the incident)

    But at the moment, this hasn't been confirmed

    Does Virtualizor have a representative on LET?

    We could tag @virtualizor , but I wouldn't hold my breath: last active on February 21, four posts since September 2020
