Is there any recommended object storage hosting in Singapore ?

LisoLiso Member

I want to store my website asset in object storage, as my service primary based in Asia, I'm looking for any object storage to store my assets and able to access it quickly, any recommended one in Singapore? Preferably with minimal downtime

For object storage in Singapore, you can try Wasabi, it's good for storing big files like images, audio, or videos (seems they provide unlimited bandwidth.but not sure) Alibaba Cloud OSS is also a good option

Not cheapest, but Cloudflare R2 was painless experience I ever see on Asia-Segment (espically Indonesia weird routing) its around ~16$ though per TB.

I'd feel pain setting it up knowing the price.

Not unlimited. Their sales harass you after you do too much bandwidth.

These guys offer object storage in Vietnam:
    https://cloud.onidel.com/

During the 2024 sales season they mentioned they will start offering Singapore location in 2025.

Never used them though, so better check all the details directly: @onidel

  • use ovh storage 7eur/t bandwidth 10eur/t

R2 is included as an exemption in their TOS for bandwidth usage, so you can use as much as you'd like. It definitely wouldn't be worth $15/TB if you didn't have unlimited free egress.

Yes, I'm using it around 2 years+ now for website backups.

They have AP region, you can test: https://link.storjshare.io/raw/jx2ucrkfckrily5w4z5kpyhy7nqa/umum/100M.file

    backblaze + cf
    ultimate combo
    easy to abuse

Alibaba Cloud's OSS storage is pretty good, and now there is a 7% discount, do you need it?

Recently, Backblaze has started limiting accounts that push too much traffic 24/7.

Storj is really good for me, and cheap. But I just use it for backup, and apps with very low traffic

+1 for Wasabi. They're stable and affordable!

  • Maybe I am a bit late. So which one did you choose? I checked @onidel, but they still do not launch the Singapore object storage.
