@DeluxHost Thank you ! A4 #144

nah, too late, last week just bought a vps from another provider
No problem 😅
I will like to buy more offers again but I got the last offers I purchased the last day of the 14days. Unlike the previous offers that I got within 10 to 12 days. Invariably this 21days is going to late till around that 21st day. By 21days most of my project already gone from my head memory. Even 2weeks pre-order was purchased with endurance while I keep refreshing deluxhost website everyday till 14days my VPS opened eventually. Deluxhost could have tried to preserve the 14days no matter the challenges you face. You could have work more on whatever is causing the delay. You should have worked on how to make the number of days remain 14 or even less instead of going worst to 21days
Thank you very much for your feedback. We completely understand your frustration regarding the longer wait time compared to previous offers.
The change from 14 to 21 days was made to avoid the issues we encountered during the last round, where we delivered exactly on the 14th day and some customers were understandably unhappy. By setting a maximum of 21 days, we aim to be more transparent and realistic, especially when unforeseen delays might occur.
That said, our goal is always to deliver as early as possible, and in many cases, we still manage to activate services well before the maximum timeframe.
We truly appreciate your patience and continued support. Your feedback is very valuable and helps us improve.
Don't forget folks to create a ticket to have your billing date updated to align with your service delivery date.
For whatever reason, @DeluxHost refuses to update it themselves without a ticket.
I don't think it's fair to say that we refuse to do it, just at the moment the team is working on a way to do it automatically, if you have a better idea, I'm happy to hear it
If you find it for us life would be absolutely better, it's certainly not much fun to change 200 dates by hand 🫂
hire me for $3.50 / hour and i'll do it myself.
Call me dumb but I don't understand why we need to wait 3 weeks before using the purchased service. Never seen that with any other provider...
dumb
fck
With all due respect, but it is clearly written before purchasing, we do not force anyone to buy, I am really sorry that you think this, but I can't do much about it 😅
If you want immediate service you can take one of our VPS or VDS on our site
Too expensive 😰😰
WHAT DO YOU MEANNNN
A-2 #120 purchased yesterday
Okay, understood. No offence. Just curious why the delay is enforced on promo offers.
where
I'm not offended, don't worry, I'm happy to answer questions 😄
I OFFER 0.1$ PER DAY
Here!!
9.3 It is strictly prohibited to use our services for any illegal activity, including but not limited to: Copyright infringement or distribution of pirated content.
not interested.
Serious? Seems obvious they don't want to or don't have the $ to spend until they have preorders lined up to cover costs. Why else?
Am I reading this correctly, you don't update billing unless people ticket?
Hey, glad to see you again 🫣
Yes, we have simply already changed most of the dates at the moment, but since we do not have an automatic system that we are working on and should be ready really soon, the answer is Yes, You see well.
I would like to point out that for those who have not opened a ticket, the days will be added, but with a delay due to this, which I believe is not a drama, but for those who do not want to wait, they can open a ticket.
Instead, answering the message above, our servers as mentioned, are partly financed by pre-orders, is there anything to be ashamed of? I don't see any problems with this, we clearly say that this is a pre-order and not an offer with immediate delivery, I think you can understand what I mean.
I don't want to misrepresent your stance and I'm wondering if there's a translation issue or something.
If you don't update the billing due date unless people request it, they're not getting what they paid for. It's unfortunate you have to do it manually but so what, you took their money.
At the same time you also said you've already changed most of the dates, so I'm confused.
Are you actually trying to say "we handle it but if we miss one please let us know and we'll update"?
Nothing wrong with it at all, it seems to be working out well and I plan to watch the available #s to see if I can catch a vps myself closer to the end of the delivery period :P
We’re currently handling the billing date updates manually, because our automated system isn’t ready yet. We're trying to update as many accounts as we can by hand, but honestly, the workload is huge and this takes time. So yes, some dates have already been updated, especially for those who opened a ticket, those were all handled right away.
For the others, we’re still working through them manually, and no one will lose any days, everyone will get the time they paid for, just with a bit of delay if they haven’t opened a ticket.
That said, we strongly recommend opening a ticket if someone wants their billing date updated immediately, and we’ll take care of it right away.
The automatic system to handle all of this smoothly is nearly done, and once it’s in place, these delays will no longer be an issue.
We try to be transparent about how things are, even if it’s not perfect right now. Thanks again for your understanding and the continued advice, it's genuinely helpful.
Most likely i expressed myself badly.
Hint: I just published a benchmark and review of their recent promo which it seems is nearly identical to the 'A-x' VPS in this promo, so you might want to look at it, there -> https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/205963/deluxehost-promo-vps-benchmark-and-review/p1
TL;DR: Buy! (with minor caveats)
Thank you for the honesty with which you made this review, we will try to offer an ever better service trying to never increase prices.
we will work even harder to improve some of our weaknesses.
You are welcome. And I'm really happy with my VPS, so much so that if I didn't already have (too) many VPS I'd actually buy another one now *g
Re. you good intentions: frankly, your promo VPS are so dirt cheap, yet decent, that I think a modest price increase but better global connectivity with e.g. an 'F-3' or 'A-3' costing €14/yr (instead of the current €12) would still be a good deal, IMO an ever better one than the current offers.
I think you cleared it up very well, thanks. I promise I'm not intentionally harassing you, I'm just paying attention because I'm interested in your products.
Assuming the service gets provisioned in the very last day, without billing updated, it would mean a loss of 5.77% time from this first year of service. This loss in investment could be recovered by opening a ticket, but this action in itself would transfer the loss of money into a loss of time on both provider and consumer parts.
So far, at 14 days provisioning date and without opening tickets, customers ordering the first day have lost 3.85% of investment - meaning a whopping €0.27 from a €7/year service, or a whopping €0.57 from a €15/year service.
I did this math because there might even be customers losing millions due to provisioning delays - but I don't have access to such stats.
