OS templates for virtual servers and same host keys on different servers
I was checking something with a provider that's been offering some great deals lately. I noticed that the two VPS I was testing had the same host keys. This means they probably messed up the OS templates. I'm curious if this is a common issue?

Name and shame.
I thought host keys were generated on the first system boot. Why would someone ever need to hardcode them?
Didn’t clean their /etc/ssh folder when they made the template.
Debian doesn’t autogenerate on reboot, but centos does. At buyvm we have a first boot script that regens the keys.
Francisco
Hetzner did that and I believe OVH also.
The biggest fuckup yet though, Virtualizor templates have the same machine-id.
