Currently having some issues with download speed, ticket opened. Still, for the price i didn't expect anything and got pleasantly surprised.
gigahost e3 dedi, $20/m
nws.sh
run some syncthing relays, globalping/atlas probes
my vms were all kinda idling until i found out about this stuff so why not help out with spare bw and resources
all my unmetered idlers already run syncthing and most run globalping, i just have a lot of location + network overlap so it's not the most useful thing.
gigahost 3950x dedi, $40/month.

I think you either got a congested node or your neighbors are super noisy.
My server has been lagging for the past few days. I checked CPU and RAM usage on my end, and everything looks normal, so it might be a noisy neighbor or an overloaded node. Has anyone else noticed this too?
I ordered a bunch of VPSes from the last sale but only one has been provisioned so far and that one is doing fine for me. YABS here: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/4421114/#Comment_4421114
How you cheak disk info? What command?
Is it a full core + 3 shared?
As Hosthatch do deals where its 0.5cpu dedicated
Berohost 2/6/60 on 9950X
I ran some benchmarks and noticed lower-than-expected results. Honestly, sometimes the specs listed aren’t a full reflection of real-world performance — especially on budget VPS setups where CPU resources are shared or limited
Your server was likely CPU limited after consistent usage above your dedicated limit. I think it is apparent from the single and dual core benchmarks being quite the same. Although it should still be in the ~1200 range, please feel free to open a ticket and we can take a look.
Your options would be to either upgrade your plan to include more dedicated CPU, or we can remove the fair shared cores from your VM, so you can use 100% of your CPU without any limits on our end.
Unlike some providers, we don't do the "unmetered/free for all 8 dedicated cores for $8/mo" with everyone competing for the same CPU. You actually do get dedicated CPU with us.
sold out! were these really ever available to order in sufficient quantities?
Appreciate the suggestion from HostHatch — I've gone with option 2 (removing shared cores) and submitted ticket #884076 to proceed.
Will report back once the change is applied. Hoping this gives better stability and clearer benchmark scores.”
@hosthatch
After working with HostHatch to switch my VPS to a purely 1 dedicated core setup (no shared cores), I ran another YABS benchmark.
Unfortunately, the Geekbench 6 scores remain surprisingly low (Single: 869 / Multi: 892) for what is advertised as an AMD EPYC 7763 (Zen 3) node.
This is well below expected results even for older generation CPUs like Rome or Broadwell. I'm currently following up with support to understand if there's any CPU pinning, throttling or backend configuration affecting performance.

Virmach "Black Friday" deal currently available. Not bad for the price - $9.32 for the year.
virmach is literally the LAST place i'd host anything at

Not using it for anything permanent!
