The disk could be much better. Maybe not Nvme？
I used to see a provider that locked Nvme to 1k IOPS.
All plans are NVMe.
Tiny and Small plans are set to 75% CPU usage.
Medium and Large plans are set to 100% CPU usage.
This is a normal 9950x with Nvme. Your posted disk test met Contabo's LOW level.

this is an unrealistic expectation. the above speed is not normal; its considered top tier (or heavily cached). OP's fio benchmark is completely fine and totally usable for most use cases although it can be further optimized if he wants to.
however it also depends on the NVMe used and configuration.
