Looking for VPS provider with servers in Chile (ideally Santiago)

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a good VPS provider that offers servers physically located in Chile, preferably in Santiago. I believe the country has solid datacenter infrastructure, but most local hosting or VPS providers I’ve come across seem to rely on older hardware and charge relatively high prices for what they offer.

From what I’ve seen, many of the major datacenters in Chile appear to be focused on the corporate/enterprise market, which makes it difficult to find solid options for smaller-scale or reseller-level needs.

Some local web hosting providers advertise having a “private datacenter,” but after looking into it, these often turn out to be residential houses adapted for hosting, rather than true datacenter-grade facilities.

If anyone knows a VPS provider (local or international) with actual servers hosted in Chile, preferably in a proper datacenter, I’d really appreciate your suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

Vultr has a datacenter in Santiago.

zappiehost – I had seen them before. I believe their servers are located in Valdivia, which is actually geographically closer to me than Santiago. However, for some reason I consistently get better ping to Santiago-based servers, so I’m not sure how optimal that would be.

opencloud.cl – I tested them a while ago out of curiosity. They're a long-standing provider in Chile, but there are a few things that made me hesitate:

Their bandwidth caps are very low for today's standards:

        Cloud Server 1 = 60 Mbit

        Cloud Server 2 = 60 Mbit

        Cloud Server 3 = 70 Mbit

... up to 100 Mbit for the highest tier

While they are a large company, I’ve read multiple times that their support tends to be quite slow, with response times sometimes taking several days. I haven’t personally experienced this myself, but it’s something I’ve seen mentioned often enough to be cautious.

Vultr – That’s actually what I’ve been using for around a year now with a client, and so far it's been stable and with good latency. That said, I’m not entirely sure which datacenter in Santiago they’re using. My main concern with Vultr is that while it works fine for a single client or isolated projects, I’m not sure how suitable it would be to run shared hosting for multiple clients. With providers like this, control is good, but things like email deliverability, IP reputation, and support can become tricky when scaling.

Still on the lookout for something with decent specs, proper Chile-based infrastructure, and pricing that doesn’t feel like enterprise-level markup. Any more suggestions are welcome!

    Oracle owns servers there

Oracle, migrate to PAYG and you can use their free 24G4C ARM server in either Valparaiso or Santiago
I'm pretty sure ZGH also owns it's datacenter in Santiago, only their cheapest plan has a cap of 10TB/month, the rest is unmetered (1Gbps)

I tried them once — not sure if it was just bad luck, but I experienced around two downtimes in a month (nothing major, but still, downtime).
As for the hardware, I don’t remember exactly, but I believe the node where I had the VPS had a Xeon E5 v2.

hard to find a decent hardware-pricing in Chile, unless you have your own hw in colocation (as is my case with zgh) maybe if you have the budget, consider azure instead, I think they have santiago available.

Consider not blocking Tor relay IPs (which are nodes that cannot even access your website, only exit ones). You're just harming end users running them, or even yourself, since I won't even try using a VPN for your website.
