170+ EUR for old SSD. WTH!
One day I’d like to visit the OVH 480GB SATA SSD Storage Faciltiy, which I imagine is like Scrooge McDuck’s Money Bin, just full of very worn out SSDs from the second Obama administration.
You are to horny for this lottery
I am pretty certain you wont hit any lottery on these servers maybe 10g network or a slight CPU upgrade (Another Xeon-D shitter) as ive previously said but its highly unlikely youll get any ram/disk upgrades on these ones, count your chickens on the KS Mystery or wait for the next round of real flash deals with KS servers
KS make you too horny and comment nonsense here.. But we all had funs here.
Don't mention about the past like KS Mystery, they are all the past now like KS-A. Still waiting for your SYS-LE-3 YABS..
Focus on current! .. lolz
Its not even the SSD that are a issue. The fact that those are 7642 ... aka Rome CPU's (Zen2).
Hetzner their 9454P (Zen4) 48C/96T with 256GB ram are 236 Euro with more default storage and only 94 Euro setup...
Even the memory upgrade prices are not the great, given that the difference between Reg ECC DDR4 and Reg ECC DDR5 is about 2.5x more expensive. So while Hetzner is more expensive to get 1024GB, its not that much given the actual market values of the hardware.
And Hetzner Auction servers have actual Rome 32C/64T servers that are way cheaper.
I do not understand companies selling/renting hardware that is 6+ years old, with prices like its brand new.
I ordered SYS-LE-1 on May 8 and received it today.
Not bad, Samsung PM9A1 512GB is fast and has TBW 300 TB.
RISE-7/8/9 are now available, RISE-S-1 has increased in price to €59.99/mo (without commitment)

The early Rise-S are now quitte good offer compared to those new price
I really see a price of RISE-S-1 increase.
Will the new price apply to the server renewal next month, or will it renew at the previous rate? I checked the control panel but couldn’t find any information regarding the renewal price.
Renew at the contract price, no increase.
Are these not so expensive because they are in Asia Pacific?
It's the same price everywhere
I requested a ssd replacement via the api as my ssd had 82% ware out and they replaced it without any issues. New drive has 5% ware out.
Want a 1tb ram baguette
For $7
m0n3y b4gz
damn enshittification of Rise servers is in progress it seems
sad, old rise-s would have competed with Hetzner's EX series
SYS-LE-3, RBX5, no lottery,
NVMe WD CL SN720 0% used. 25k hours, 4x 12TB HGST DC HC520 25-60k power on hours

Lmao even not 10g dl
I'm so surprised the SYS-LE-1 sold out
I can only assume its mainly for the cheap vrack/priv networking or just casuals who think its a good deal its a stinky stinky cpu
What's the use of vRack if only specific servers can be integrated?
All servers besides KS/GAME can be integrated afaik
And beside Rise S-1
rip @emgh
we start with $5/m sale, now we are going $50/m sale...
