I did pay an invoice, was available instantly. Fuck me, ofc no lottery
Thank you for your sacrifice.
They cookin my lottery
Whenever I come to the forum and see this post has 10+ new pages, I am like: d*m, there is a new sale? 🤣
Even without 10G download?
Download was 10g, I guess all current offers will have 10g
I wouldn't rely on that speed - on my server, it was changed to 1G after a few months.
I bought the SYS-1, and its NVMe is very old. I’d like to know if I can replace it with a used but higher-quality NVMe. If that's not possible, can I switch to HDDs instead?
45k hours isnt to bad really but 71% used is cooked, you can request a replacement via api or ticket but you could end up getting a worse replacement. No you cant switch to HDDs
I'd love your disks right now.

idk man......................
Available spare is ticking down and my mystery is only a month old... although they are in a ZFS pool that may need some baby sitting as I don't think TRIM is working correctly... or maybe I have bad blocks that are only showing up now... they're in a slightly better position despite the lower writes (although... one would argue that their WDs are already beyond what WD support in endurance)
71% used id 100% request a replacement personally
Guess I'm a ride till I die kinda girl (yes I have back ups don't worry).
Meanwhile .. running raid0 on these just for fun

Thank you. Even if they install a different NVMe, you’re saying it would be 71% worse, right? I was thinking of getting a refund and buying an HDD server instead. Do you think HDDs have better longevity? I bought this with the intention of running a Web Hosting Server, or perhaps creating a VPS, but now I’m seeing that this might not be suitable for that.
🤝
Just replace the disks and see what happens before you ask for your money back.
Also this is overkill for a web server... just wtf are you doing? HDD vs SSD Endurance is debatable as well.
You could get a fresh NVME with 1% use or one around the same (or slightly worse) its just random i dont think the techs test them before installing. You can run web hosting or create vps with these server 100% very suitable you wont have any issues hardware can last years and years without issues even at 71% usage or it could completely fuck up with 1% usage its just a random game of luck really
Data Units Written : 5,030,313,227 (2.58 PB)Damn thats alot of sisters
I'm not so sure — the WD SN720 512GB drive has a TBW of 400 TB. Yours has only 316 TB, but try replace. Do you think an HDD with 60,000–90,000 power-on hours and only a fraction of the performance would be a better choice?
Cant really compare the two in terms of performance its a non contest...What exactly do you want? More storage? More performance? Completely depends on your usecase
That was a response to vpscp.
Sorry I’ll mind my own business
