Also I will just add this here: guys, if you have a service from HostHatch and are satisfied, please (please!) take a few minutes to write a review on TrustPilot and Google (or Reddit). We only ever have had customers who are motivated enough with negative experiences to write there, and it goes a long way in client acquisition outside of LET (which is the reason we can offer such deep discounts on LET in the first place).

    Thank you

I have previous experience working at a major telecommunications company in New Zealand, have experience with Proxmox, zendesk and service now, love customers and have a passion for networks (I'm about to do CCNA and then move onto MTCNA).

Would you be looking for someone with these experiences as well? Happy to work all sorts of times and on call as well.

How long does it usually take for a VPS to be previsioned? Is it really 10 days - 2 weeks? Asking for a friend who bought the service.

Yes, both of my promo HostHatch services took 2 weeks. Some people got theirs much sooner, like 2 days, but budget for 2 full weeks.

The long lead time is likely them running the logistics of where to deploy everyone to properly balance their nodes after all the sales have been made.

Also to give leeway to the staff that is already overworked (we are hiring in case anyone is interested, I should post another thread about that some time). I guess we can start offering a 6 hour provision service for $25 USD setup fee or something along those lines, but at that point, really just buy a standard service from the website + a promotion service, and move over the data once the promotional service gets provisioned.

    @ieeci said: 6 CPU cores (2 dedicated, 4 shared)

    24 GB RAM
    300 GB NVMe
    50 TB premium bandwidth
    $140/year (APAC)
    (15 TB bandwidth in APAC)
Can I buy two and stackable resources?

Stacking is available for all plans, but not the NVMe 24GB promo, for the time being.

Please also note that when stacking, only dedicated cores are carried over (unless otherwise it makes clear logical sense). We have had people try to buy two smaller 4-8-16gb plans to try to get more cores rathers than buy the next plan, but we often refuse those stacking requests.

Stacking is meant to be a useful tool for plans that we otherwise might not offer, not to get extra cores/resources for the same money.

Actually, "NVMe 24GB" is more suitable for stacking. It has less memory. I bought 4 cores and 32G. After stacking, there is 64GB memory. I found that only 15GB of memory is actually used. It is a waste. My application is very strange. The 8-core CPU is actually only used 15%, while the 4-core is 90%, so I have to get more shared cores.

I need a BGP line. What should I do?

    Is BGP available?

Yes, we offer BGP with a $10 USD setup fee per location, and no monthly recurring fee.

May I ask how I should pay this fee? When I placed the order, I didn't see any related options for BGP

Please open a ticket and we will tell you the steps for getting BGP set up. It costs a one time $10 USD setup fee per location (with no MRC). We also recommend adding all of your prefixes in the first go, as each filter update will also cost a $10 USD setup fee.

The reason for the fee is not profit for us, but because most of our upstreams still need manual prefix list updates and LOAs, instead of just using AS-SET. (Shoutout to the ones who do run the automated systems like GSL where we do not need to deal with this bull).

Is there a BGP line in Hong Kong, or a similar test address?

The plans are designed to provide maximum resources at a price point where we can some minuscules amount of profit as well, with these deep discounts. They are not designed to accommodate the max value/$ for stacking. We cannot make it perfectly aligned for everyone unfortunately.

I am not sure what BGP line is, but we do offer BGP sessions?

I am also going to open a new thread regarding some of the upcoming things we have (new panel) at some point - but just to let everyone know who is reading this - we now support snapshots in all locations and the final rewrite of our snapshots feature is complete.

We will still call it beta for a couple more weeks to work out any tinkering issues, but please do report via ticket if you run into any issues with snapshots (in any location).

Personally I live 4 different timezones per year, and I have never been able to make any of my close ones happy since everyone expects responses in their own timezone :)

But that's just some background on the personal life....that somehow also applies to your question.

    Hi @hosthatch

I remember there was a plan to implement a bandwidth pool, so bandwidth wouldn’t be limited to a single VPS but shared among multiple VPS instances

    any update on this?

@hosthatch the nvme 24GB plan resource upgrade is applicable for all US/EU locations, correct? Upgrade for the 3 nvme plans in the OP seem to be applicable for Chicago and Stockholm only.

  • I think Bandwidth pooling is still in beta, but you can raise a ticket if you have multiple hosthatch vps in the same location. It will be enabled account wide.> @Acacy said:

It is automated and we actually have quite a nice algorithm on how we provision customers day to day, but during some of these promotions, we have 15-20 orders coming in per minute, and the possibility of making mistakes/being able to put everyone on the correct nodes is nearly impossible.

It is already implemented, please open a ticket so we can enable it for you. Bandwidth pools are per location, not per account. For example, if you have two servers in Amsterdam and one server in Stockholm, only the two in Amsterdam will be pooled. But if you also have two servers in Stockholm, then both your servers in Amsterdam will be one pool, and both of your servers in Stockholm will be in one pool. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks! Ordered one in Amsterdam w/ Invoice 507687
It's rather strange the invoice and payment receipt don't show the server location. And since the server is pending provision you can't see it in the "My Servers" page either. Maybe you guys can look to change that?
It seems like Amsterdam storage is not offered this time so I guess I'll just take a couple more smaller flash sale plans
