[Anime Corner] Hidden Gems in Fantasy Anime Recommendations
Rewatched "The Ancient Magus' Bride" this weekend - still blown away by its watercolor-style backgrounds and Celtic mythology elements. Any similar "slow burn" fantasy series recommendations? Currently eyeing "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" but haven't pulled the trigger yet. What's your comfort fantasy anime? πΈβ¨

Around 2002, I got so hammered walking around in Tokyo one day, I forgot what hotel I was staying at (Hotel Akasaka Monterey) so I ended up in a Manga Kissaten, in Shinjuku. I was so damn drunk, I couldn't figure out how to change the Windows PC in my "room" from Japanese language to English. I said to myself, "I'll just have a wank and get some sleep", but I ended up just puking all over the mattress. I woke up about 8AM and put my puke covered pants back on, paid my "rent", and left with a huge hangover, blue balls, and my head bowed in shame.
I love Japan.
Sorry, what was this thread about?

Frieren is a nice one, I do not watch many series, but I can recommend some movies: Redline and Ninja Scroll are good ones.
Try:
Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina
Kino's Journey
