Crunchbits sends spam emails

@Carlin0 it has been exactly 1 email, since inception. So rare that I wrongly assumed all WHMCS generated e-mails had unsubscribe included by default, however this wasn't a mailing list. Adding an unsubscribe to system emails is something we have to manually add and will do.

This e-mail went to every account as I felt it was an important enough transactional/relationship announcement and may involve your PII (if you filled it out). No new sales, no coupons, not even a link to buy anything--just telling you what is going on and what that will mean in the near-future for your services.

Open a ticket anytime and have it deleted, that was sort of the point for anyone that may not remember they had an account here and would like it removed.

@rcy026 to notify me that they have been acquired or have a partnership would only take a line or 2 at most, but the remaining 99% talk about the services they will offer...
    for me it's spam

Well luckily, your definition of spam is not what matters.

If you want an example of spam, see Cogent. Unsolicited, marketing, collecting contacts from public whois and ARIN/RIPE/Etc databases, etc.

Ngl Cogent was the fastest one i've ever seen. When we just registered our ASN they directly contacted via Telegram. I didn't even know ASN was ready

No opt out. Tell them to piss off, and maybe three months of silence. Then another email.

We very politely asked them not to contact us again via e-mail :) We explained nicely that we are not interested in their products and they have not sent an e-mail for 1 or 2 months

    No, it's an announcement.

The difference is very subtle (if any)

Well all in all it's really good news? Company is doing well and did a new deal. You can appreciate that?

This is why we can't have nice things. For goodness' sake, remove the email and move on. There are bigger issues to address in life.

I have not been a customer of theirs for years and yet they send me advertising emails

They should have removed your info from their list. The best move is to unsubscribe if there's a link, if not, marking it as spam helps train filters. If it didn't work, you could reach out and ask them to delete your data completely.
