Palette shipping from US to EU

frct1frct1 Member

Hi folks!
Looking for ways to ship loaded palette (hardware) from US to EU. Is there any trustworthy ways?
EU VAT ID is obtained for customs as well as EORI.

Thank you

It might be cheaper to sell the hardware in the US and buy it back from the EU. I mean from Germany, where else.

  • Just pack everything to your suitcase and be careful at customs.

We used DBSchenker the 3 times we've sent crates there.

They're cheap, but slow. Make sure to ask them for a proper formatted invoice if you're both the importer & exporter. We lost an entire week because of formatting issues.

Don't bother using their web portal, it doesn't work. Find one of their email lists and go that way. We lost 2 weeks expecting someone to actually respond on the portal, but in the end their airport staff could never find our order, requiring we place it again with them directly.

Sounds familiar, they were used to ship from Hungary not so long ago. Inside EU they was quick. Added to the list, thx!

Dont know if FedEx also doing that, but FedEx is great for US <-> EU.

    Can recommend DB Schenker too.
Not the fastest, but never had any issues either.

Depends. Iuppiter.nl and Piosparts.de are my goto here - pretty low prices and nice reps. But I've always found out that going with a UK supplier is better for me as they can provide really good pricing on some stuff (£25 per DL360 G9, anyone?)

Use FedEx. Same tracking for freight and easier customs handling. And FedEx delivers freight shipments with their own vehicles, not with foreign freight companies.

I see. Anyway 25 pounds may be below the import threshold for VAT and customs.
