    Looking for this deal so I have question:

    These plans have been hosted at Hetzner, and unfortunately their handling of torrenting has changed drastically which makes it near impossible to offer these services.

    Been a rough season, that's for sure. I know a lot of places where they are so short-staffed because half the workforce lay sick for 1-2 weeks.

    Nah, German. A huge chunk of my family migrated, some of us stayed. You cant get me out of Frankfurt :smiley:, I was born here and I wish to be buried here.

    Now Hetzner uses https://iknowwhatyoudownload.com/en/peer/ to check if their IPs are being used for torrenting. There are two major issues.

    1. Previously when an abuse notice was forwarded all neccesarry information to find the offending VM on a IPv4 NAT system was sent . However, the website has no identifiable information for the single VM making it impossible to track who is downloading.

    2. As every torrent case is now handled under the same case any new IP added will be immediately blocked on their new follow ups, as I am not able to identify IPv4 NAT systems anymore new IPs get blocked without I can notify clients to stop their actions.

    Due to this new procedure I will stop offering IPv4 NAT systems.

    Additionally I have forwarded several concerns to Hetzner. Right now it is new and it seems they don't really check if it is copyrighted material or not.

    I don't know if private trackers are being tracked there. The issue mainly concerns IPv4 NAT services also.

    Private trackers should not be affected since, as the name implies, the tracker is private, thus, iknowwhatyoudownload cannot track what you leech/seed from there.

    It's just stupid that @Hetzner_OL is doing that since, for example, I torrent legit ISOs from home and iknowwhatyoudownload still shows as if I'm torrenting random movies and stuff.

    (notice how, for anything besides legit ISOs, the first seen and last seem is the exact same date)

    torrenting legal open source data sets (for ml, those things are huge) and even windows drivers will get you suspended.

    It's just a weird stupid rule.
