Singapore Equinix 3U colocation
I'm looking for:
- 3U, <300W
- One Equinix SG1 cross connect (to Arelion)
- Your smallest/slowest Internet connection for out-of-band use (IPv6 only is fine)
Feel free to offer a burstable 10G transit port as an extra, especially if you have reasonable communities support to limit propagation. I know Arelion is not super great in the region, but for anycast reasons I need it in the mix.

Not many takers here it seems
Can anyone else comment on whether I'm looking for unobtainium and need to come up with a new plan?
Smaller scale colo isn't really super worth it in APAC. I think @advinservers has space in Johor with transport to Singapore, that might work?
I'm not aware of any LE providers that colo in Equinix SG directly.
There is however @advinservers and @Abd (Webhorizon) in Equinix JH1 which should technically connect you to Equinix SG1-5 via fabric
@xTom can offer you colo in Global Switch Tai Seng but I'm not sure if they can do Arelion for you.
Other LE providers are in Racks Central or Epsilon DC but I do not know if they provide colo services.
Yeah, Arelion is in Global Switch so maybe that could work? The other locations sound like non-starters.
@markonen Email Blix Solutions on [email protected]. They have a presence in Equinix SG I believe and they can most likely help
Rack space in Equinix SG is very expensive compared to some other locations. If you’d consider protected capacity from Equinix SG3 (same campus as SG1) to Racks Central and coloing in Racks Central please contact us. We can offer this as a complete solution.

I dont think I ever saw any SG local hosts offering rack spaces. Since space is a premium in this small country, they usually offer dedicated servers or VPS or rent.
As many mentioned, best is to get a rack space in one of the nearby countries (nearby by ping time, not physical distance). I (from SG) usually see a ping time of 5ms to SG and about 100ms ping to Australia servers. Malaysia even though is closer has a lower network speed and higher ping time from SG even compared to Australia.
What port speed would you be needing with Arelion? If you're looking at something like 100G, you're probably better off finding someone to sell you some shared colo at Equinix. Expect to pay $600-800/mo with the XC included.
If it's 1-10G, you can probably find cheaper options with transport to other DCs (we can sell you this at Epsilon, where we have protected transport from Equinix, but it won't be cheap) or Racks Central.
Also ask Arelion for an updated POP list. Sometimes they don't have updated POP lists online, so some of their onnet DCs might not be on the lists (peeringdb, even their own documents) that you're seeing. If your primary goal is to connect with Arelion in Singapore, then exploring non-Equinix options is probably going to save you a lot of money.
10G to Arelion is what I'm after. Notably our actual traffic will be minuscule, but that's the interface speed. On a 95 percentile basis it will not break 1G.
Seems like their POPs are Equinix and Global Switch so the latter is an option as well.
For GlobalSwitch, reach out to Epsilon ([email protected]), SG.GS ([email protected]), Zenlayer ([email protected]) or xTom.
Have personal experience with Epsilon and Zenlayer and both our account managers have been stellar. Not sure about their interest in 3U but they might be willing to help (say you were recommended by me, it might help).
Expect high markup rates though. Singapore is not cheap to be in, unless you are looking at basement DCs (but even then you're paying transport costs), so it only makes sense at scale.
