Host-C noVNC help, no input

daviddavid Member

I'm trying to use the noVNC console for my Host-C vps. It opens, but won't accept any keyboard input. I haven't had that issue with any other vnc clients. I've tried both Chromium and Firefox. Any ideas?

    Send them a support ticket so they can review it, they are a good provider and will solve the problem.

    I put a ticket in, so I'll see what they say. I'm thinking, maybe I'm not the only one whose had the problem and there's something simple I need to do. Or maybe it's just broken.

    I've encountered this before, and there were various reasons and the corresponding solutions:
    1. Strict browser privacy policy. Create a new browser profile (without any modification of config and without plugin);
    2. I removed some HOOKS so the new kernel could not recognise the keyboard.

  • @wadhah did you had any similar issue?

    @david

    Did you try without any VPN? - that usually solves the issue.

    Also I saw your Ticket, I put my best Minion on it :) .

    There will be an upgrade on this, I am just waiting for it to pass the BETA stage.

    @host_c

    Thanks. It ended up being the "ScrollAnywhere" extension. Once I disabled that extension, I was able to enter text with noVNC.

    I did try it without a VPN, and without uBlock Origin, but those didn't make any difference.

    Your best Minion is in BETA stage?

    For what it's worth, I have one other vps (RackNerd) that uses noVNC, too, and it works with the extension enabled. Not sure what the difference is. Maybe a different version or configuration. Anyway, now I know how to get it to work.
