Cheap Tallinn / St Petersburg VPS

Any good offers for Tallinn or St Petersburg?

Looking for ~3-4 € p.m. with minimum 20 GB storage, 2 GB RAM and maximal bandwidth (ideally minimum 2 TB monthly transfer). Latency & bandwidth needs to be stable.

In Estonia (Tallinn), it is difficult to find a VPS with these specifications; the price tends to be around 5–8 euros per 1 vCore / 1 GB RAM.

Maybe Helsinki, Riga and St. Petr instead.

// The cheapest one I found is this; unfortunately, I can't tell you much about the company. Previously, they published expired domains, but EISA apparently threatened them with legal action, so they stopped that activity and moved on to offering hosting services and domain registrations. You probably won't find a cheaper offer in Estonia. They should be located at the WaveCom data center on Endla Street.

2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 20 GB SSD, 20TB BW for 5eur per month.

The cheapest is @VPSSLIM in Tallinn but it isn't as reliable as I wish it would be.
It looks okay right now, but a few months after launch they still had issues.

St. Petersburg hard to say, right now I have seen 1.4€/m and up.
However not in USD or EUR.

Hi! We recently upgraded our network with multiple 100G upstreams as our services were becoming very popular in Tallinn. I am glad to hear it's smooth sailing for you now. We indeed had some temp. latency issues before the upgrade on this location.

Besides service failures, milking your customers with double VAT, I don't think so.

    Cheapest?

Even random local Estonian providers are cheaper than this..

Ah, ok, some coupon. We don't really make deals like that in Estonia.. :D

// Without a discount code, HostSlim is expensive — old Xeon CPU, regular SSD, etc. For about the same price or just a euro more, you can get a local provider (generally in RIK, Telia, or Elisa data centers) offering an AMD Epyc or Intel Gold CPU with NVMe, etc. These providers can definitely be used for production.

Some options that I personally use:

    For Tallinn:

weasel.cloud (2c2g30gb with unmetered 100Mbps) (wavecom network, I personally love it) for €2.8/m (using recurring promo code 20ALL)
    affiliated link | non-affiliated

@VPSSLIM as some other people mentioned here (2c4g40gb with 100TB @ 10Gbps) (RETN network, also great IMO) for €24/yr (+VAT if applicable)
    affiliated link | non-affiliated

    For SPB:

@antonpa (justhost.ru) (1c2g30gb with unmetered 300Mbps) for roughly €3.5/m (cheaper with longer billing periods)
    affiliated link | non-affiliated

    deephost.pw (1c2g20gb with unmetered 1Gbps) for roughly €3.4/m
    affiliated link | non-affiliated

There's also @mlcloud which I've started using recently, and it's been fine so far, but cannot vouch since I need at least a few months of usage.

Not that many cheap choices in SPB nor Tallinn, unfortunately. There's also Selectel in SPB which I've been using for over a year and never experienced a minute of downtime, but way over your budget.

    Good luck!

  • With HOSTSLIM I am concerned about following years and the time this coupon is not valid anymore. I need stable ground and longer term. Thanks for everybody so far!

It's a recurring deal, I still have old deals from them and they haven't discontinued those.

Do you have yabs or nws for this location or any other location from Deephost?

I have all PROMO plans (NSK, SPB and MSK) so a yabs/nws won't really show the real performance since these instances are pretty much limited in every aspect

Still shows single homed RETN, or is there another subnet for Estonia?

the network on 14 eur/year deal is still horrible and packet loss in the last hour is 3%. i don't care if the network on more expensive plans is better because you lied to me for months https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/204670/horrible-network-on-hostslim-14-eur-let-deal
i will never trust you again and this should also be a red flag for others.

i wouldn't complain if the network was only 10mbit/s but stable.
