Aeza now prohibits hosting Tor relays
I have been hosting a Tor middle relay on a Swedish promo plan since March last year.
About an hour ago, I got a TOS violation warning from them via ticket. Looks like they changed their terms and now ban Tor components/services.
5. Prohibited content and Software
- It is forbidden to place on the Hosting components and services that provide operation of the Tor network.
Posting this because other users running Tor on Aeza might not know about this change yet. Especially on promo plans where you can't open new tickets after a violation.

We have received information about the placement of a Tor component or service on your service, which is a violation of the terms of use of our service (5.7 ToS).

It is necessary to remove the corresponding software from your server as soon as possible. Otherwise, access to the service will be restricted.
The deadline for removing the violation is 24 hours from the moment the ticket is sent. After the time expires, the service will be blocked.
You cannot create new support tickets or respond to existing ones because you have an active service with a promo rate and no other paid service

They must've discovered Tor can be used not only for cybercrime operations but also for circumventing russian censorship and other good causes.

Tor's geoip is quite inaccurate. Most (if not all) of the IPs you see in AS210644 are for their non-Russian locations
Let me guess. The owners of the company got arrested, the Russian authorities have taken over control, and it will be handed over to a corrupt government official's family member.
Isn't this the setup that protects Russian companies from going bankrupt when a crime has been committed?
Have your passport ready and have fun with the incoming KYC request and ban if you don't comply.

Netherlands already has high amount of Tor relays. Together with Germany, it's around 51% of network consensus. To prevent too much centralization, it would be beneficial to host relays in countries/networks where there're few or no Tor nodes currently.

Update: My VPS was suspended precisely 24 hours after I received the violation warning ticket.
Update2:
As I only have the SWE-PROMO and couldn't reply to the violation ticket or open a new one, I contacted support via Telegram.
They helped me get access to the ticket system.
The issue was then resolved via the ticket, and my VPS was unblocked.
Importantly, data inside the VPS was not deleted.
Suggest to create a society of aggrieved contributors.
