Severe Speed Limit on Claw.Cloud VDS Server

Recently, I have read serveral passages about the speed limit on Claw.Cloud, and I thought that was a mistake, becasuse my server can always be in 1Gbps.

But, last day, I have done a test like before, and I found that the rumor was true. The fucking hosting company is really doing the most disgusting things to its supporters, performing the unusable limits to the server.

In the past 30days, I may downloaded 70GiB and uploaded less than 20GiB from the Claw Cloud server, but unfortunately, the Internet Speed was limited to 10Mbps DL and 2Mbps UL after the following test, which is unbearable, and impossible to use up all my data transfer(2000GiB) from the package.

The buddy who is going to, or ready to buy its server, please think twice before you pay to Claw Cloud!!!

Section One--Proof that I own the server.
Please refer to the following picture.
Configuration:2Cores 8GiB RAM 1000Mbps Net Speed 80GB SSD
InstanceId Acquired from Aliyun Meta-data service:i-j6ci9lki048e8lqkdrjs (Yes, its a reselling company for aliyun/alibabacloud ECS)

Section Two--Test that I Done at Yeaterday
I have done a download test, and here is my server record.

The following speed curve is acquired from Claw Cloud console.(About 40GiB data downloaded in Claw Cloud Server)

Section Three--Test I done at 2025-02-28 (In Chinese)

Section Four--Support team blames it on ISP QoS

Conclusion
Claw Cloud may be The most dishonest company I have ever seen. They can alter the contract/configuration at their will without anyone's agreement.

  • What the..... 666 and John Smith?

They claim that download in server is unrestricted, however, I was restricted after downloading 40GiB of documents.

It is discussing the billing, not the speed restrictions.

Then, did you ever seen what server will limit your rate from 1GbpsDL&UL to 10Mbps/2Mbps after you download around 50GiB files? Did they post specific rate limiting rates/rules?
As you can see, the rate limit is more aggressive than I tested at 28th Feb.

  • My vps in Hong Kong was also limited in speed. The reason was that it occupied bandwidth for 2 hours with an average speed of 10Mbps, and the speed was directly limited to 1Mbps. I only used 150G of traffic this month. I don't understand why this business did this.

  • I can’t believe a company has the gall to charge you 10eur a year for a VPS and then not provide flat unlimited, uncontended gigabit in Hong Kong. Absolutely appalling.

I am not arguing with you. I just mean that the page you quoted is about billing.....

I've tested from 5 ISPs, all the results show that claw cloud limits the speed by their own, not the ISPs from Hong Kong.

  • I think Claw should provide a clear rate-limiting policy and explain it thoroughly in the documentation.

My package was 8USD/mth, 2000GB data Included, not the one 10EUR/year you specified. I only consume less than 100GiB Data(DL&UL aggregated) within the last payment period.

  • It's really terrible, I also encountered the same situation. I watched Emby videos at 10 pm last night, with an average speed of 20 Mbps, and spent about half a hour watching, then was throttled to 2 Mbps upstream and 10 Mbps downstream until now, exceeding 17 hours without recovery, and they don't even handle tickets, essentially no service. They keep saying they're targeting small and medium-sized enterprises, but I doubt if there are really any such businesses using their services.

  • If Claw Cloud are so mean on bandwidth, they'd have issued a warning on checkout or TOS. Otherwise, their ads are full of puffery.

  • Yes, they have a terrible speed limit strategy, which results in speed being limited to almost unusable new levels. In any case ClawCloud is not a trusted cloud service provider

  • so claw scam? can paypal refund?

Most Chinese users use Alipay, which is a pity.

  • I think the bandwidth of claw is shared, not exclusive.

If a website or corporate service is attacked, it will be shut down and blocked for 24 hours and can only be turned on after 24 hours.

Yea, the bandwidth did shared, but I can only use 600GiB outbound traffic atmost if I fully utlized the server at that horrible 2Megabits Speed for a full month. As you can see, Claw did collected a full payment of 2000GiB.

You are right, this is unacceptable for a business

I don't know what it's like in other regions, but there's already a lot of complaints in Asia.

Not only that, but their VPS services are utterly disgraceful. When facing a DDoS attack, they forcibly shut down your server without giving you any control to bring it back online. What's even more outrageous is that they secretly change your server's IP address without any warning or notification. This reckless and irresponsible behavior is absolutely intolerable, especially for businesses that rely on service stability and IP consistency.

    It's fraud.
A contract is a contract. If Claw‘s TOS is changed to make restrictions, there should be a notice and a new contract to users.
At least it should be transparent.

Here's test report of Feb 28.

At that time, the bandwidth speed was relatively normal and reasoable.

But now, the rate cut looks like a fraud.
