Fed honeypot waiting to go boom.
I wouldn't use anyone advertising anything "bulletproof".
Go with a normal reseller. Explain your use case, be honest, and nine times out of ten you will be ok. If you're not doing anything shady, they may ask for your passport, but that's normal unless you have someone willing to provide you with a nominee service (more expensive). But, if you're buying a .RU / .SU domain, what are the actual chances of the seller giving you up to the MPA, or whomever? Doing KYC in this situation is perfectly fine, since the registry will suspend the domain if it's registered with fake information.
This is how the likes of BPname.cc, XUID.ru, etc. lose their clients' domains... they use fake information, and the clients suffer.
To re-iterate, ask a Russian-based host like justhost.ru, or @rustelekom if they'd be willing to provide you with a .RU / .SU domain in exchange for crypto for your site. Explain what it is, and if it doesn't violate any CIS laws, I think you will be ok. Same goes for everyone else, because registering .RU / .SU with your details won't result in anything bad happening to you. They won't share your information.
Go with the registrar directly. There is absolutely no reason to use a reseller.
In this case, they won’t accept traditional payment methods due to sanctions. If they accept cards, they will be MIR… they won’t accept PayPal, etc. so you do need a reseller if you aren’t a Russian citizen.
You could, hypothetically, go with Marcaria.com (brand protection) and they can provide you with literally any domain, including.RU but it will be a lot more expensive and you need to send a utility bill, etc.
For other domains, I concur, go with the registrar directly.
I could buy domain from incognet, but @MannDude hasn't answered my question over a week from this thread and support ticket. I'm waiting for him to response
PM me your ticket ID.
Our site makes it pretty clear that instant support isn't our thing, and to wait up to 5 business days or so.
Currently elbow deep in a virtualizor to virtfusion migration
Namecheap and get a su or si domain.
If you totally out of your mind then go with xuid.ru
https://x.com/filehaus/status/1868655136752783845?s=46
they will nuke you over your email address.
5 days lol
Atleast your prices seems to be premium
Almost everything is self-managed, we don't advertise quick support. It's not our thing.
We have very extensive internal monitoring in place for everything that needs it. If something actually critical happens, I know about it before the customer 99 times out of 100, before they even have the chance to open a ticket.
We're a small business, no outside funding, no investments and I don't trust just anyone with having helpdesk access. Until I can afford to pay someone a western wage for western quality support, this is just how it's going to be. There is a very clear disclaimer before submitting a ticket what our support times are, a clear knoweldge base entry regarding this, and very clear email auto-responder of this. We are very transparent in that regards.
With that said, I just answered someone in 7 minutes. I answer some in 20. Sometimes I'm busy and wait a few hours. Sometimes I read a ticket and don't feel like it's important enough or urgent enough to require me stopping what I'm already doing or that it ranks lower on my list of priorities at that moment.
It's not a perfect system but it works well enough. Good help is very expensive.
Sent DM
No, never. Namecheap and spaceship are the same company, and now they asked me for KYC verification and lost my domain over 7 years.
Damn, that's terrifying
Quick reminder you don't have to submit that KYC and have a right to transfer the domain.
Unfortunately they locked my transfer domain, they asked me for KYC first.
@MannDude check your DM
I cannot even register a domain on incognet io. It always redirects me to portal .incognet .io/store/wa-usa-vps
domain registration is down right now. I wanted to order one too.
NOTICE! (Posted: April 21st, 2025)
We have temporarily suspended new domain name orders as we work to restructure our domain name service and offerings. This service has grown very quickly and we need to implement some changes from our end to make it easier to manage, so that we can provide you a better service. For this reason, domain name registration is temporarily unavailable! Please check back in a couple of weeks.
For those wishing to register .su and .ru domains anonymously, the website prq.se is the place to go.
It'll be back. Just a pain to manage with thousands of domains now and I'm trying to figure out something that will make managing it easier, despite it being low margin, high maintenance product/service. It's actually been a great relief the last week or so not having to deal with new registrations.
I may eventually offload this to a different brand, and not use WHMCS as we have to pay a very high price monthly now since WHMCS pricing is based on active user accounts, of which we now have thousands of 'active' user accounts that are just domain registrations with very low profit margins. That way, we're not paying $150-$235/mo just for WHMCS for domains.
Unfortunately, Hostbill is pretty lacking still and so are pretty much all other billing platforms. =/
I hope things can be figured out soon, I don't want to have to switch to another registrar. I have a quite a few .st domains with you.
Existing registrations are fine.
Honestly, will probably just have to raise the price for future registrations to make it worth it. WHMCS is a very poor system for domain registrations, which is likely why no real domain registrar uses it.
In the coming month or so I should have some additional help too, which will lessen the burden on myself personally from being the one and only person to manually review and process domain orders as well. Got some general house-keeping tasks I need to complete first (like removal of unsupported TLDs that got imported by mistake, but there is no quick/easy/sane way to remove many TLDs at once) and adjust some pricing where necessary.
Good to know. Just to make sure, will this change the current renewal price for existing registrations?
Depends on the TLD. Domain prices increase all the time, no matter the registrar. We're not really in the position to offer the service at a loss or break-even, as it's too time consuming to manage.
For example, some registries increase their TLD pricing seemingly annually. When that happens, InternetBS, NameCheap, PorkBun, Cloudflare, etc, etc, etc raise their pricing, too. Not much we can do to combat that that doesn't involve taking a loss.
Most domain sales we only profit like $3-$5/yr on, assuming you pay with crypto. Less so if you pay with fiat.
It's unfortunate there're no real free & open source competitors for that.
Almost every provider I visit uses either WHCMS or Hostbill and I imagine they're in position to charge whatever they like.
Blesta.com good enough for domain use.
.su and possible .io will be retired
Dont waste money on them.
If not mentioned already, a PirateBay co-founder created an offshore domain register in Costa Rica.
Difference is that they own the domain on your behalf (i.e. it's their details that are then registered).

Edit: reviews are all over place though https://www.trustpilot.com/review/njal.la and their response: https://njal.la/blog/
If you want a safe offshore domain without strict KYC, AlexHost.co and Eranet.com would be a good choice. Make sure to check their rules before buying.
Basically Incognet but in the case of Njalla, the owner is a retard.
Reguards
Njalla steal domain from people, be careful!
@MannDude
Please let us know when domain registration is available again.
