OVH KS GAME LE i7-4790K but with 32gb ram

Hello,
I'm currently looking for the KS GAME LE with the i7-4790k but with 32gb ram instead of the 16gb ram variant.
Does anyone have this? My OVH account is Canada :)

Are there any alternative dedicated servers with the same processing power and specifications, all for around $10-13 per month? Probably not, but if there is, please link me 😉

It’s very tempting, but that CPU is slower than the i7-4790K. It only peaks at 3.5 GHz or something compared to the i7’s 4.4 GHz. I need a little more speed, or at least the same speed as the i7-4790K.

    thank you though 😅

The server also comes with OVH’s GAME anti-DDOS protection, so it’s not just the CPU.

I'm willing to pay extra (and even one of my VPS servers on top of that) if anyone has a dedicated server located in Canada (or preferably somewhere in North America) with a CPU equal to or faster than the i7-4790K, and storage over 240gb priced under $15 USD per month.

I'm currently using an iPad for class, but running Windows applications is impossible, so I rely on remote desktop for Windows. However, running Chrome (with a good amount of tabs), Word, Teams, Onenote, PowerPoint, etc at the same time requires a good amount of RAM, so I prefer over 16GB if possible.

Host doesn't matter, im fine with any.

    If CPU is paramount: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/202677/linveo-com-amd-ryzen-9-kvm-vps-with-1gb-ram-and-nvme-disk-from-2-10-month-ohio-texas-arizona/p1

I used Remote Desktop on it on the 2 GB plan with web browser usage and it was decent. 9950X CPU with a GB6 single core of at least 2600 (almost 2x a 4790k).

    If RAM is paramount:

    https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/203501/hostbrr-march-madness-deals-epyc-2-gb-vps-15-year-2-vcore-8-gb-ram-4-month-10-gbps/p1

You can try for 7 days and refund if you don’t like it.

As for dedicated, I don’t know any that have such low prices for the memory and CPU you want. The closest would be a KS-MYSTERY with the E-2388 CPU but it is double your budget and you won’t find someone who will sell it to you easily either.

For extra storage you can find a cheap storage VPS and mount it as a network drive.

  • This cpu is old any not supported anymore.
No sane business should have such outdated hardware.
    Is a security risk.

It’s perfectly good working hardware that doesn’t need to be tossed into the growing pile of ewaste.

  • It's junk.
Power draw usage is high and performance is low.
Not worth in a hosting business to keep such junk.
Plus liability if you get hacked gdpr fines etc
