Phoronix testing suite for different benchmarking

Found this gem: https://github.com/phoronix-test-suite/phoronix-test-suite/

You can then choose various benchmarks to run from here: https://openbenchmarking.org/tests. Works on pretty much any distro.

  • Too much effort. Nobody really cares about getting every bit of performance or else they'd be running Intel's optimized distribution. It also makes people like "resident benchmarker" look even more amateur.

It's great source of information. Especially when someone is ranting about BSD performance without any evidence to back it up.

That is really good and detailed benchmarking if needed, with that said YABS or other like it are a bit easier and faster.
