We are looking to buy (permanent transfer) some v4 space.

All RIRs are an option, as long as transfer to RIPE is possible. Transfer fees should be carried by the selling party.

Please, feel free to DM :-)

  • MattBGPMattBGP Member, Host Rep, LIR

I am also looking for IPv4 Space.

RIPE RIR is preferred but open for all. Transfer fees carried by selling party!

    PMs are open

  • AndreixAndreix Member, Host Rep

So, it's more or less 10,240 USD with receiving party paying the fees or 10,740 with selling party paying the fees?!

@Andreix said: So, it's more or less 10,240 USD with receiving party paying the fees or 10,740 with selling party paying the fees?!

I would say its usually less (and not more) both for the price of the IPs and the escrow fees. (which for a 10k transfer should be more ~$250usd using escrow.com)

For those wondering for the popular RIRs and fees involved:

RIPE -> RIPE: RIPE will not charge any fees in this process at all. Only escrow fees apply if you go with escrow service

ARIN -> RIPE: ARIN will charge a $500 USD one time "transfer" fee. This is per transfer request and not related to the size of the IP space you are transferring. The seller pays this (since its their ARIN account being transferred out of) and the seller may choose to forward that cost to the buyer (Plus what ever escrow platform fee you use)

APNIC -> RIPE: APNIC will charger the seller (since they are the APNIC account holder) 20% of the yearly LIR cost for that IP space. So you can chuck your IP space size here https://www.apnic.net/get-ip/apnic-membership/how-much-does-it-cost/member-fees-calculator/ and then 20% will be charged to the APNIC holder. Again the seller can choose to forward on that cost to the buyer or not

And further to that, those who are wondering what the 'going rate' of IP space is you can check out some feedback from other people's recent experience here: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/203699/going-rate-for-a-ripe-24/p2

Excuse me, what is the difference between the IPs of several people who publish them and those of IPXO, among others? :#

Probably on IPXO you pay more and have no guarantee of tomorrow.

IPXO can be cheaper, but they can indeed also pull the prefix without any good reason. Mate of mine had rpki revoked because the seller (ipxo was just the middleman) made a mistake.

If we had two problems with IPXO from one moment to another, they increased our prices by a few ranges

IPXO also seems to send notices of that the IP holder wants their IP's back, later followed with a "Oh for a higher price, you can keep your range" letter ... No thanks!

@Jord We launched our LIR services very recently at IPregistry.

    • ASN + IPv6 /44 (PA), 60€ first year, 120€/year thereafter
    • IPv6 /48 (PA), 15€ first year, 30€/year thereafter
    • IPv6 /44 (PA), 30€ first year, 60€/year thereafter
    • IPv6 /40 (PA), 60€ first year, 120€/year thereafter
    • IPv6 Anycast Assignment Request, 120€ first year, 240€/year thereafter
    • IPv6 PI Resource Sponsoring (whatever the size), 120€ first year, 240€/year thereafter
    • Internet Exchange Point (IPv4 or IPv6), 120€ first year, 240€/year thereafter
    • Custom IPv6 PA or PI assignment, on-demand

PS: Most pinned ASN offers in this thread for RIPE seem outdated, as RIPE now charges each LIR 50 EUR per ASN annually. It’s unlikely a LIR could offer an ASN for a one-time fee of just 40 or 50 EUR.

  • I'm looking for assistance with obtaining an ASN - either through RIPE or any other method. I understand that ASNs are separate from IPv4/IPv6 allocations, and at this time, I'm only interested in acquiring an ASN (no IP space required - No IPv6 or IPv4).

If you're a provider or have experience handling ASN requests (including sponsorships, if applicable), please PM me with your pricing, estimated timeframe, and any details you need from my side to proceed.

Thanks in advance for your time and support!

Most ASN sponsors by default give you some IP(v6) space as well as an ASN (as its a requirement for RIPE and APNIC to have some announce-able space on your new sponsored ASN) meanwhile ARIN/AfriNIC and LACNIC dont have a concept of "ASN Sponsorship"

In terms of "who to go with for your ASN services" here are some options of companies you can reach out in no particular order:

  • Please do NOT purchase IPs from Larus anymore! After buying their IPs, I encountered technical issues on their end that rendered the purchased IPs unusable. When I contacted customer support for a solution, their response was, "Please buy IPs from IPXO instead, theirs might be more suitable for you." They then informed me that despite the problem being caused by their technical failures, no refunds would be issued, forcing customers to bear the cost of unusable IPs without any compensation. I have Chinese chat records as evidence; feel free to contact me to verify this.

A reminder to everyone: Avoid purchasing IPs from Larus at all costs! Their website is riddled with major bugs!!!

  • Hi there. I’m looking for a LIR Sponsor (RIPE), need an ASN, IPv6 PI (smallest pool is fine), and I would also like to apply on the waitlist for a IPv4 PI.
I’m looking for a cheaper option. Feel free to PM me.
