Netcup brings me a bad mood

On February 8th, 2025, I purchased a VPS, Advance payment for order 54130212 VPS piko G11s 12M, I have already paid 10.08 euros through PayPal. I haven't used this VPS either, I plan to use it at some point in the future.

On February 26, 2025, I purchased two. de domains with an annual payment of 3 euros, but I have not received any payment for them, and I have not used these two domains.

On March 4, 2025, Netcup sent an email stating that my registration information was fraudulent and that all of my purchased products would be deleted starting from March 6.

I am not sure if I have strictly followed their regulations to fill in personal information, including detailed address. I have already paid 10.08 euros, but because the amount is very small, I do not want it anymore and will not purchase any Netcup products.

Unexpectedly, misfortune came one after another,

Firstly, all products on my console have been cleared, and there is no record of any purchases made.

Secondly, they denied that I had already paid 10.08 euros for order number 54130212 VPS piko G11s 12M.

Repeatedly urging me to make payment and threatening me to pay the order, they sued me through a debt collection company. I replied to them through a work order and email, saying that I had already paid 10.08 euros and attached a PayPal payment screenshot.

Nevertheless, they still continue to demand payment and threaten every one to two days. I also did not reply to the fact that I had already made the payment via email.

I was very angry, so I sent a bill dispute through PayPal and asked them to refund me 10.08 euros. After PayPal's intervention, a refund of 10.08 was received on March 28, 2025

Subsequently, they continuously sent payment reminders to my email through debt collection companies, which has been bothering me until recently.

Friends, help me check. I didn't use their VPS server and my domain name has been reclaimed. Should I pay this debt?

  • nothing about this is surprising

  • Just because you didn’t use it, doesn’t mean you don’t have to pay for it…

Debt collectors and netcup is like strawberries and cream, goes well together.

    Enjoy.

P.s. for China boys those debt collection emails can be safely forwarded to /dev/null

  • Wait, if OP has already made a payment, how can OP still be in debt?

I also feel their order management is a bit confusing.

In similar situation like OP I also purchased VPS piko G11s 12M at some point this year where they had flash sales, paid $10 as well. Occasionally (if not mistaken, twice) I received invoice from Netcup with a debt for like $0.08 sent via email and available on their portal as well. As it's such a small amount I just paid it without checking the details.

Like OP I also did not use my piko VM and left it idle after purchasing. Anyway I've decided to terminate the VM last month because I'm afraid this "trend" will continue where they send me invoice continuously and glad that I did -- no more random invoices.

Disclaimer: I'm not staying in Germany nor China

So you gave incorrect personal information?

A screenshot that you really paid this?

What I mean is, I don't want to get back the 10.08 I've already paid for, so I'll just consider it bad luck and throw it away.
