I think like you until use, for the case of green cloud vds
I think this is the downside of not being able to transfer flash deals. You can't use them and can only leave them unused.
really stayed up until get it at ~5am?
yep
probably why im more disappointed but it's just because i only have the enzonix and kuroit VDS to compare it to which are both actual dedicated cores
How much price was it in flash deal after the coupon applied?
$54 USD p/yr
yo @labze can we have the 7eur flash for easter?
No more hybrid storage deal it seems
Can't connect to the server?
Can the HDD Block storage be added to server from flash deal also?
Link to the kuroit VDS please, @beanman109 ?
Its oos mate...u can find it on the sale offer page in my.kuroit.com
What’s the specs (YABS) and price for the kuroit one? Interested in comparing to the Hostbrr one.
The nested virtualization being disabled is a deal breaker for me however. I’m now less sad that I missed that flash deal.
But in all fairness, the offer said “1 Dedicated vCore AMD Ryzen 9 9950X” so I wouldn’t say HostBrr was misleading. That said, I get how super easy it is to misread the fine print when you’re frantically racing to put an order to beat the crush. That’s the one big thing I dislike about limited quantity flash deals (have to shoot first and ask questions later).
2c4t (E5-2680 v4) w/16gb RAM - $42 p/yr
yabs: https://lag.st/nPPX3PU1N06Y.png
i forgot to kill the node script running in the background so gb6 score is about ~5% lower than idle
Come on. Compared to those, I would say hostbrr is more value for money.
costs more, less ram, less storage, less gb6
but im not here to swing vds dicks, i'm just sulking about not reading the spec properly while rushing to purchase a flash deal and my expectation going in from prior vds purchases
@COLBYLICIOUS @labze
ordered this package:
installed windows via hostbrr backend. above potent specs are perfect for windows...
then geekbenched under windows server: results singlecore ~1200 lowest; expected 2600-2800. reinstall windows same issue, reinstall windows again same issue.
then installed debian and yabs singlecore was 2800+.
I pointed this out to @labze, but unfortunately I haven't heard anything since. there seems to be a problem with the windows server 2022 image from hostbrr.
my linveo 9950x has still a gb6 of ~2900.
I want 2nd Anniversary Flash-1
i want to run windows server with good performance with this package EPIC-EPYC Anniversary @labze
Iirc @labze already posted some kind of fix
you sound like the new @dev_vps
What is the typical output range of AES-128-XTS?
does not really work. sadly.
i miss him @dev_vps
does anyone know more about his disappearance? does anyone have contact with him?
have a link to the fix?

i'm sorry and i like @labze and hostbrr too, but his epyc 9655 is really in no way suitable for windows server! (thought maybe windows server 2025 is more suitable than windows server 2022. unfortunately not at all.)
have you tried any other epyc servers for windows from hostbrr?
wanted to see if the epyc memory optimized one would be better
