    Seems to perhaps be some Windows tuning required, maybe the standard installation is not that good for Turin yet.

    Run CMD and type:

    powercfg -setactive SCHEME_MIN

    Significantly increases performance. Not quite where expected yet, but much closer.

    Jokes aside I’m interested in knowing the final cause since I sometimes install Windows on VPSes (however rare). I assume all the virtio drivers are at the latest versions?
