New Zealand LG isn't even on the link you shared.
New Zealand does seem real though, but Cogent transit which is...

WE LOVE SINGLEHOMED COGENT
That's right, LG isn't here yet, so I gave you the IP address for testing, this product is still on pre-sale, because not everything is ready, when everything is ready, LG will appear and so on.
routing from auckland is even funnier
auckland -- > lax --> auckland --> 'wellington'
this is cogent™ world tour
if you think i'm joking
explain me how tf from Auckland -> 'wellington' has more latency than thailand -> wellington
premium blend newtork
280ms round the world to auckland when mtr-ing from AU.
Starting from 2025 we're not going to publish the list of our datacenters because of the security issues. Anyway, bgp as-path can be checked easyli and every uplink ISP can be revealed.
Please, check the size of Liechtenstein country. And closest countries. Then check network map on gas-com website - you'll find that it's the closest ISP that are ready to provide services at least at 10G speed. That's the first thing we need to mention.
2nd. That would be strange faking because we have no gas-com ISP uplink anywhere except Liechtenstein. I believe the main goal of faking locations is to cut the costs of hardware/rack/ip transit. So in this case we should have the same uplink in Switzerland as in a Liechtenstein. But they are not.
That are public databases that make updates whenever they want.
The reason sometimes this happens because of the need always to buy/rent pools of IP addresses. So this pools have own history and previous geolocation. I believe in few weeks that will be fixed because we're in touch with the most well-known publich geo databases.
Few other remarks.
While cogent of course is not the best ISP (no IXs, sometimes strange routing policy and so on), there is always economic side of the issue. We're low budget VPS hosting and have to keep prices the same for the whole world. Like you or not, that how it works - other ISPs in NZ are asking around x3-5 for the same service.
Treat presale as a beta test. That's why we're providing such a big discount. Of course, some services can be not available right now because of the fact our team is working on this issues right now. Thanks for all of your notices.
newtork is premium my man
But you don't comment anything about Austria?
Which DC in Liechtenstein? "security" reasons, but you're now starting to not disclose them when you've been doing it for years in your other locations.
You have a direct cable to gas-com.ch
should the question be dc in Liechtenstein? i don't think gas-com has presence in liechtenstein in the first place tho
Premium back boner*
Trash provider
45.15.140.1 actually doesn't need to take the scenic route from AS64073 (my ISP and we go straight there).
Good luck but ehh... I'm not convinced.
new zealand? where is this place, are you making things up
I'm aPQ customer with the best server for almost a year, It has never slowed down and it has never been down!
I recommend it
Interesting.. would love to see the nws.sh result for au
Auckland to Wellington, on the largest ISP in NZ:
Is that 300ms ping domestically?
Same here. I'm currently in Auckland with a similar round-the-world-and-back path. Currently no benefit for me.
Looks like only 2 of the hosts out of the 20 I checked route properly
Alibaba HK
Leaseweb Asia SG and Host Universal SG
@beanman109 Shock Hosting Sydney seems to be good too (again, HU)
certified cogent classic
At this point you might as well just host in Singapore or Los Angeles instead, if everything is going to be routed through there...
I think single homed Cogent is possibly the worst options out of all the T1...
Admittedly I think this problem is not hard to solve, just need to get some IX ports, but trying to launch this product even if its a beta without those is laughable.
To be fair... Spark hates peering with anyone in NZ.
2degrees however, one of the other big 3 (I also used to work for one of those big 3), is even more hilarious and this is direct from their LG using 191 queen street.
64 bytes from 45.15.140.1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=51 time=331 ms
I believe PQ is at 220 queen street and is @ Host Universal as their ICMP for me via Vetta Online behaves and polls like a Host Universal IP.
Pqhosting there are many other providers that got this right and the only RSP in NZ that can reach you so far correctly is via Vetta Online.
This is a shit launch sorry.
