And if you could toss in an NVMe for OS, that would be great as well
As far as I know, that chassis/platform in LW does not have a slot for NVMe. But I am not sure, I agree if NVMe will just hang around the chasis
Tbh I would be happy with any kind of flash storage, even SATA SSDs hanging on the chasis via the cable would still be acceptable for that price lol
Answer PM, paid.
Soon it won't be available in even 65 euros 😊
Unfortunately no, it's pre-configured
If we change disk it will cost more monthly + onetime charge for disk change
Server should be delivered already.
We have one with NVMe.
E-2286G 64GB DDR4 960GB NVME + 4x16TB SATA 10Gbit 100TB - 120 Euros
E-2286G 64GB DDR4 960GB NVME + 4x16TB SATA 10Gbit 250TB - 150 Euros
Only one stock.
big price difference,
E-2286G would grab one with NVMe and 32GB of RAM for 50 Euro
Difference:
Few stocks came..

E3-1240 32GB DDR3 4x16TB SATA 10Gbit 100TB
Can I add an HDD hard drive, such as 8 * 16
This server can hold 4 disk max
So we cant add more disk.
3 Stock Only - E3-1230 16GB RAM 4x8TB SATA 1Gbit 100TB - 360 Euros/Yearly
Which will make price 30 Euros monthly, which is awesome price, no one has it
Moarrr yearly offers for 2x16 and 4x16 boxes
A credit card payment system needs to be added.
Sorry this is the cheapest as it gets,
We are already offering cheapest possible price and that too in monthly plan, so even if we offer yearly plan it won't get cheaper 😕
And stock is already almost over we have about 5 available now each..
If you want it, you still have chance, I know others are selling it for 100 euros.
I know, I know. But I had to try.
As for me, I have some "price per TB" that I can't overstep.
Where are you getting price per tb better than this
I don't think similar servers
Maybe bigger server and not from lsw.
Yep, not similar servers, not lsw at all.
€61 would sounds tempting for 4x16...
Agree with this
I know you have been waiting to getting price more low.
But unfortunately i cant go below 65 Euro for 4x16TB
Big whale YABS. (E3-1240 32GB DDR3 4x16TB SATA 10Gbit 100TB - €65)
Mine came with 1270v1, TOSHIBA MG08ACA16TE, Power_On_Hours: 2773, 5079, 3066, 5081.
The WHMCS module for reinstallation is quite buggy, but it works:
If you want to reinstall your server with a custom partition layout, you should click (even if you're going to leave the field blank) on the form field.
If you forget about it, the LSWB system will block your attempt at re-installation for 30 minutes.
IPv6 is assigned manually via ticket (it takes to wait for a reply is approximately 1-5 minutes).
Great peering with OVH-RBX (for your mystery backups). Latency around 6 ms, and I can reach full 1G while rsync (mystery with 1G port).
Good peering with Hetzner-FI (for your AX101 backups). Latency is around 28 ms, and I can reach around 600 Mbps.
So in both cases, my backups are done very fast.
This YABS is from a partition with RAID0.
So, it just works like it should.
Great network, great people, fine hardware. What else do you need?
Also I grabbed baby box E3-1230 16GB RAM 4x8TB SATA 1Gbit 100TB - 360 Euros/Yearly, will yabs it later today.
Baby shark yabs. (E3-1230 16GB RAM 4x8TB SATA 1Gbit 100TB - 360 Euros/Yearly)
This model came with E3-1230v1, TOSHIBA MG08ADA800E, Power_On_Hours 11060, 11142, 23111, 23066.
Network-wise, RSYNC shows the exact numbers as the 4x16 version (1G from OVH-RBX, 600 Mbps from Hetz-FI) to the raid0 partition.
YABS shows us that these 8T drives are slower than the 16T version (check the fio section in both YABS).
But anyway, through a 1 Gbps network card, the maximum we can reach is around 125 mbytes/s. So this HDD for 1G is okay.
Or maybe my googling is bad, and I am wrong there, please correct me then.
If we do not need a full 10G, the best bang for a buck will be two 360-yearly deals (we will get 100 T+100 T monthly traffic then). But I don't know if Leaseweb offers something similar to Vrack in Hetz/OVH for free.
I must admit there is a difference between MG08ACA16TE (4x16) and MG08ADA800E (4x8).
This screenshot from Hetrix shows that OVH Mystery uploads to 4x8 around >1 TB for 4 hours already.

As you can see, we have:
AVG Network usage: 850Mbps
AVG IOWait: 2,5%
In comparison, if I do the same job (upload ~1TB to 4x16-10G), I see avg network usage around 1.1 Gbps and zero iowait.
In my opinion, that happens because MG08ACA16TE is faster by around 30% (as per the YABs FIO test).
Maybe the new-gen E-2388G 32GB DDR4 2x16TB SATA 1 Gbit 100TB (the same 32 T as 4x8) will show better speeds, too. Do not test it because the price for that model is +10 euros.
Anyway, ~850Mbps is excellent too.
But I should reconsider my conclusions:
1) Try to go with larger drives. They are faster.
2) If you have 65 euros, then buy 4x16.
3) If you are not cheapo like me, then buy 2388G with 2x16 T.
4) If price is an issue, then Baby Shark with 4x8T is also a good choice.
