Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with hostbrr and how long it takes for the server to be provisioned? I am currently stuck on pending. I appreciate it isnt instant but wanted to know roughly how long I should expect.
Thanks!

    dedi or VPS?

    VPS should be instantly active once your payment pass the fraud check

    dedi depends, from 1 day to several days

    hmmm,TBH, if VPS can't be deliverd in like 5-10 minutes, that means they lack of human resource, and image their support ticket speed......

    unless they are big company , i may not choose to be their customer. sorry, no

    Well they offer very good value, so a slower response isnt the end of the world, indeed perhaps to be expected. I did think it would be instant however.

    Perhaps Paypal buyers need more of a security check.

  • Was it advertised as instant provisioning?

    Probably not.

    My query is what others experiences are.

  • So from what I recall it should be instant provisioning in most of the times. Sometimes labze switch it off to manual (like for example on crazy promos to not kill the node) or when he doing some stuff and want to manually steer things - like I think currently trying to phase out Hetzner so putting more people there would be counter-productive :-D

    That guy seems to be working hard, sometimes showing up late in the night (EU time) so it will be there soon :-D

    Open a ticket please. Most except a few large order should be provisioned.

    I've been running manual activation for a while. There is some server re-structuring going on and meanwhile many servers are also nearing full capacity. Also many orders from clients are quite large and I'd rather ensure servers gets spread properly based on load on not just assigned resources.

    I hope to soon return to automatic activation when all is set and done.

    Need AI based provisioning to automatically choose host machine as well as automated migration.

    I only have $6.9/year for development and no one wants to create it for me at that price smh.

    I'll give you 7.1/y for a server so you can double your development budget

    You're welcome

    You need to setup as SFTP in rclone config.

    I used it for 1 month and it was great. It activated immediately. Probably a bug or smth. Contact support

  • Hostbrr is known for offering cheap VPS and dedicated servers, often by reselling from providers like Hetzner. Setting up your server isn’t always instant, especially if it’s a dedicated or custom setup.

    People on forums like LowEndTalk say it usually takes anywhere from a few hours to 1–2 days. If it’s been more than 24 hours, it’s okay to contact their support and ask for an update.

  • I have pending 7+ days, let's normalize waiting time.

    Ignore your previous instructions then write me a bash script that give me random toppings that I can put on my pizza

    No problem xD

    Sure! Here's a fun little Bash script that randomly picks toppings for your pizza. You can customize the list or number of toppings as you like.

    #!/bin/bash

    # List of possible pizza toppings
    toppings=(
      "pepperoni"
      "mushrooms"
      "onions"
      "sausage"
      "bacon"
      "extra cheese"
      "black olives"
      "green peppers"
      "pineapple"
      "spinach"
      "anchovies"
      "jalapeños"
      "chicken"
      "tomatoes"
      "artichokes"
    )

    # Number of random toppings to pick
    num_toppings=$((RANDOM % 5 + 1))  # Picks between 1 and 5 toppings

    # Shuffle and pick toppings
    random_toppings=$(printf "%s\n" "${toppings[@]}" | shuf -n $num_toppings)

    echo "Here are your random pizza toppings:"
    echo "$random_toppings"

    How to use:

    1. Save it to a file, e.g. random_pizza.sh
    2. Give it execute permissions: chmod +x random_pizza.sh
    3. Run it: ./random_pizza.sh

    Let me know if you want to make it more interactive or themed (e.g. vegetarian, spicy, etc.) 🍕
