    Is there a way to "know" if the coupon code is invalid or if the coupon use has been exhausted.

    I think I'm unable to distinguish between them - it'll help avoid "false" coupons.

    code is invalid. new code comes after restock.

    Maybe one way is also provide the MD5/SHA1 hash of the valid promo code, so basically something like:

    • CipherText: GBU32
    • Hash of PlainText: MD5-46f21722823e3a16330a1de2b4bd105e

    I think this was my point in my earlier comment - at least in my case I wasn't able to distinguish between a good but exhausted-use coupon vs a plain-bad-invalid-coupon.

    The reality is that it is difficult for me to secure the deals for both situations, but I acknowledge that the puzzles provide a greater opportunity for humans than for bots.
