depends on luck but more chances you win something :)

Hmm ... i dont this so, you are at risk of getting a refunded E5 ...

I'd say unlikely, in SBG the loto factor was quite limited during the sales, and there was still availability at the end. Plus OVH has been deleting the few servers I cancelled after the sales, potentially to fulfil remaining invoices.

but man even though I don't have a use case but I would have loved the E2288G with 128GB RAM and 2*1.92TB NVMe would have loved some HDD on top too

I paid my one SBG order 2 days ago and I was lucky. I have 1 last unpaid bill. I guess I'll try my luck.

Sure, with a username like that, what else can you do?

  • There's a limited restock of NVMe KS-4 if anyone was looking to get one. Stock is low.

I wonder what percentage of users here keep their server over time.
Or if half of us only rent it for 1 or 2 months :)

I'd like to know the figures out of curiosity
To know if I have a chance to add epyc in my idling farm in few months :#

Most will idle most likely, which is a shame. I could put that 2288G 10gbit/1 to actual nice work. Still looking for one. I also got 2 regular ones 2x450nvme and 2x480ssd, already been doing heavy work :) Looking to swap for that 10/1 :)

Depend if it's a v4 with not much lottery I guess, but if people that scored 2288g or even Epyc let it go for that price monthly I don't know why they gamble

    Not sure. That’s not a 10$/y VPS.
Most will be under used. Like most servers actually in production in the world.

    Games are addictive.
I'd be curious to know the figures, but unless you work at OVH you won't know.

I know that a lot of hosting companies that advertise here complain about poor customer retention over time.
Anyway, I’ll keep waiting an opportunity to grab it

    No one knows.

However I think that lottery chances higher when server OOS or removed from the API. I think that until it is on API the API reports the availability of regular stock (e5 v3/v4, NVMe 450-1200-1920 GB, 64-128 GB of RAM) which planned by OVH. And when the stock lasts with or without an API removal it seems to be that OVH try instant deliver the server and when the basic config not available they will pick a higher one. And this theory confirmed too by OVH cancelation policy as no one knows that after cancelation, when the machine will be reused, however after the successful cancelation a pay link appears in the email by OVH which might reactivate the instance.

So if my thinking is true, until Apr 8--10 chances higher for bigger configs at delivery after this date, as when the 7 days expires they might reuse the cancelled servers.

Well, yea you can see the 25% diff.
But they are IDLE anyway, so doesn't matter.

    Thanks though.

Maybe AMD Epyc will come or 2 x 1.92 + 6TB will come, I am waiting. I have 1 last chance.Currently, the 2 x 1.92 nvme + 6TB disk option in SYS 3 is not in stock. I am following closely.

If you are lucky, yes, worst case, you ask for a refund.
Like I do right now for the 8TB HDD one, would need manual transfer via Ticket, so meh.

Since I am a member outside of Europe, I do not pay tax. Maybe that is why I have difficulty canceling delivered orders. Sometimes Support makes it difficult to return.

I'm looking for one with an E5 CPU, 64 or 128GB RAM and 2x 450GB NVMe. Preferred location is LIM, but SBG or GRA would work too.

I just filed tickets to cancel my two E5, 64GB, 2 x 450GB NVMes. If anyone wants them at cost, however, hit me up. EU account. One is in RBX, the other in SBG.
