I'm looking for a new dedicated server host with DDoS protection (preferably from big names such as Cosmicguard/Path (must also have inhouse filters, they leak too much TCP)/Neoprotect/premium Voxility protection).
I must have access to a firewall where I can freely add/remove filters (as well as set ratelimits for specific ports, although this isn't a requirement). I must have access to IPMI. it must of course have 1x IPv4 Address, although also having IPv6 would be nice 
.
For the location I'm looking for anywhere in the EU, preferably as close to the DDoS protection provider's PoP as possible so I can get the best ping.
For the specs, I'm looking for anything equal to/over 16c (clockspeed doesnt really matter, it can be either ryzen or xeon)/64Gb of ram (DDR4 or 5 Prefered)/128Gb (NVMe prefered) SSD, and it must have at least a 5Gb/s port.
You should have a good reputation/relationship with your DDoS protection provider, as I will report any major leaks (I will have a PCAP) and expect them to be patched.

I went with DeluxHost & the best dedicated server they offer.
Cancelled it because it because of all the issues I encountered that I just wouldn’t face anywhere else..
Random little things, too, like them editing my firewall rules & settings making DDoS attacks leak into my server… apparently basic symmetric filtering protects you better than full symmetric filtering? Sure sure
Also they don’t entirely talk English… you really have to put your brain towards translating the sentence they have just said when reading it.
Also encountered weird PL issues — support was no help here.
Reported many leaks (after then claiming they can fix most leaks under an hour to me)… they suggested I whitelist my SSH port after that got blasted by a DDoS attack — no they never patched the leak. I told them I need SSH publicly accessible as my IP is dynamic and other people access the dedi. They said they can’t help, so I had to make a script for my own SSH protection. — they actually also suggested that I get a VM from them, where they whitelisted the SSH port. Why would I do this when I have a dedi? Unsure…
They also couldn’t figure out the issue I was having with IPv6 connectivity, had to fix it on my own. They provided me the wrong range to use, either that or I’m using IPs that I’m not meant to be using. Either one shows a lack of inability to run infrastructure.
Overall the protection is good, but the host itself? Not so much. if you want/need help with anything specific and neoprotect themselves cannot fix it, I wouldn’t expect your issue to be fixed at all, let alone in the near future.
I could show the chats I’ve had with deluxhost as they are horrible, goofy and overall just funny to look at, but there is simply too much.
PS: I had to tell them 10 times to stop editing my firewall, and they continue to do it, claiming that it is for better DDoS protection. I have told them STOP EDITING MY FIREWALL, seems like that can’t do that. They might have a… little obsession? I at least requested that they tell me when they edit it… they refused at first but at least they agreed in the end!
After all of that I thought… what host should I have all of these weird issues from… none. Cancelled the dedi and posted on LET.
I guarantee I would’ve seen more issues before the time expired on the dedi, so I cancelled it outright, not even at the end of the billing period.
Note: there were more issues than the ones mentioned. These are the very basic ones that happened right at the start. I didn’t use IPv4 after I had to make a script for my own SSH protection.
