I know that violates the actual transfer rule and I think for this kind of servers the rule should be changed... Do you think that who is having a KS-A server would put the server for transfer for $10 ? Hell no!

Hell no. The rule is fine, and I love to see scalpers and their accounts burn. I'd even be more strict and deny people from bragging about their boxes / specs (most with intent to lure in offers via DM), until they reach a certain account age / reputation. LET is neither for scalpers nor a marketplace to make profits from offloading your OVH inventory. KS-A is rare, but it's not that good and if people want to pay more, then fine — but not here. LET was and is about the community, not about scalping each other.

My point of view, this is not scalping... Is just a good price for this kind of servers.

Agree, a scalper would ask $300 for this 2288g server.. a good let member will ask 100-150 ...

I've given away LE-B for free or at cost, even when the insane prices became known. I could not care less, as long as the server stays within the community. Also got lucky and got an LE-B at cost from another member, when I gave away one too many. This is primarily a community(!) not a profit-hub. People buying tons of boxes, refunding the “bad eggs” and then charging 5–10 times the original are scalpers — not “good let members”. I can't wait for OVH to change their stance and reject refunds or outright ban accounts with too many of them.

It's simply scalping, by definition. If the original price was $25, selling it for any amount higher than that is actually scalping, but asking for $100+ is clearly scalping.

Service transfers here are not for making money.

C'mon man.. lets agree that the transfer rule should be changed for this type of servers... This rule is perfect for eg. for hetzner servers, or for regular servers with setup fee, but .. not for this gems.

@remy I got 3 E-2288G.. two with 64Gb of RAM and one with 128GB of ram, both with 2x2TB nvme.
I'm happy to have more.. 2288Gs or EPYCs. This are really gems alongside with one KS-LE-B and one from gigahost that I already have.
FYI, I do not re-sell them, I'm using on my private stuffs.
I just didn't have luck in getting this servers.. I got only E5s, some of them with ram upgrade and some with nvme upgrades.. most of them were refunded and some were transfered with 0 profit.

See the monthly price for E2288G here...
    https://eco.ovhcloud.com/en-ie/soyoustart/sys-3/
For eg. the one with 128GB of RAM and 2x1.92TB NVMe with 1Gbit unmetered is €172 + VAT per month! Now tell me that $100 for transfering this server is to much..
Notice: I don't want to transfer none of 2288G servers so stop messaging me.

I just think that their point is that it is not the place for it, but yes it is good value for the price.
Now this SYS pricing is just not meant to be bought, you could get a Rise-2 128gb, better CPU the 2x1.92TB and the 1gb guaranteed/unmetered for €130 + VAT but there is no mystery in those

    Correct.
But why not to be the place? Is just a rule that has to be changed or another rule to be added spcific to ovh servers...
Or maybe to be able to put this servers into an auction for maximum 24h.

I'm wondering why E2288G performance is dropping that much with the pve kernel

I mean there is always a performance drop with the pve kernel as it's optimized differently
But the difference is pretty big with this specific cpu

If anyone has tips, let me know.

what's the best to use between this 2?

    I actually have:

    • KS-GAME (i7 7700K - 64GB RAM - 2x 450GB NVMe - on this one, i've a permanent ovh discount, and i only pay €19,99/Month)
    • KS-MYSTERY (E2288G - 128GB RAM - 2x 1.92TB NVMe)

The KS-GAME is dusted by Mystery ofc :D

For sure the mystey full stop.

Another question, as i said on KS-GAME, i've a permanent ovh discount that is automatically applied at every invoice. If i transfer it to a new ovh id, he will keep the discount too or not? Anyone know that?
