Storage for restic backups

I'm looking at storage options for restic backups on a bunch of systems. I have no issues setting up & using a VPS for this but I don't actually need a full VPS. I'm using backblaze at the moment but wondering if there are other options.

I saw a deal with hostbrr here on LET, does anyone know if their storage services are compatible with restic?

I'm also open to other suggestions!

    @m4nu has BorgBase

    BorgBase offers the quickest backups based on Borg, Restic or Rustic since 2018

    I have not tried them yet but planning to, they do seem pretty nice and easy to use.

    They also have a free tier that you can try very easily!

  • You can also use Restic via Hetzner's storage boxes if that is something of interest to you.

  • I'm using both borgbase and backblaze; can't go wrong with both of them.

  • By the way I settled on hostbrr for this. Restic backups work well when you use public/private keys & sftp, which you can use with a hostbrr storagebox.
