I was thinking of consolidating, but why is it so hard trying to part ways with premium idlers…?

Well, its a good deal, later you may need it, right? right?

    Yes.
It's preparing for the next big project. Idling

I installed it now, Idling though.

Mine looks almost exactly the same, so pretty!

I've been following this thread since last Black Friday, trying to get my hands on a KS-LE-B or E, but no luck unfortunately
I was debating whether it was worth taking a shot at the KS-Mystery lottery, and in the end, I decided to give it a go and... turned out to be a good call, I managed to get some pretty nice upgrades

    Intel E-2288G
    128GB RAM
    2x1.9TB SSD

    Intel E-2288G
    64GB RAM
    2x1.9TB SSD

    Intel Xeon E5-1650 v4
    64GB RAM
    2x1.9TB SSD + 2x4TB HDD

Honestly, I got really lucky. This is way more than I actually need, but no complaints

Also, does anyone know a simple way to set up a few VMs and use only one IPv4 address? I can’t find an easy guide and I’m not very good with networking stuff

I wrote a little bash script, its not perfect but it works most of the time. Happy to share in dms.

Tbh, $150 for a 2288g with 128Gb of ram and 2x2tb is a fair price for transfer... This server costs more than $100 per month on ovh website and you'll pay 27 ish per month...

But let rules look at actual price of the invoice not what it would be on regular days. So to me it's not correct

So many shady deals have happened via dms... if they are reviewed, sure there may be bans. But otherwise nothing will happen

I flagged a few posts and the users are still alive, so there's that

I also got dms, how could I report them, asking 150$ in dms

    Dm @dp/ @Arkas

Tbh, $150 for a 2288g with 128Gb of ram and 2x2tb is a fair price for transfer... This server costs more than $100 per month on ovh website and you'll pay 27 ish per month...

Still a clear violation of LET transfer rules.

  • I think the spirit of the rules is reasonably clear, this is not a marketplace.

I know that violates the actual transfer rule and I think for this kind of servers the rule should be changed... Do you think that who is having a KS-A server would put the server for transfer for $10 ? Hell no!

Well if people are willing to risk it, but it's a quick 150€ or more for the guy if he run away

Yes, in case someone hasn’t seen it yet. It’s stated in the selling rules: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/153228/rules-for-selling-on-lowendtalk-updated-04th-sep-2018/p1#servicetransfers

    Stop dreaming to have a 2288g, 128gb ram, 2x2TB 1G/10g for a $30 transfer.

Hell no. The rule is fine, and I love to see scalpers and their accounts burn. I'd even be more strict and deny people from bragging about their boxes / specs (most with intent to lure in offers via DM), until they reach a certain account age / reputation. LET is neither for scalpers nor a marketplace to make profits from offloading your OVH inventory. KS-A is rare, but it's not that good and if people want to pay more, then fine — but not here. LET was and is about the community, not about scalping each other.

Simple, we just dont encourage scalpers as they ruin the fun for everyone else.

My point of view, this is not scalping... Is just a good price for this kind of servers.

Agree, a scalper would ask $300 for this 2288g server.. a good let member will ask 100-150 ...

Well said, we should honor the rules whenever possible. For some rare cases, the deal could happen at their own risk. Hopefully not many scammers here.
