You need an address in Canada.

Thats not true, I have a Belgian address on my CA account and the account is probably like 2 years old

You probably created it before they made the change.
Cause currently you can only chose Canada in the dropdown menu.

I install the OS with Debootstrap on my system, to use disk encryption and remote unlock.

Yesterday I wrote that I can not boot and requested a reinstall which stuck too at reboot stage.

OVH fixed my BIOS settings and switching between disk and rescue works well.

However I still could not install my own OS with debootstrap, always got no response for ping. So I added this to grub console=tty0 console=ttyS1,115200n8. After that I activated serial over LAN.

After a short debug I realised that I have 3 net interfaces on the E-2288G modell. In rescue eth0 (primary if), eth1 (KVM) and usb0. However in a fresh Debian usb0 came to eth0 position so I need to use eth1 in my config files (with net.ifnames=0 biosdevname=0 ).

After I made the fix it works well.

Hoppe that it helps to someone if experience this issue.

    Guys, a question.
    For example:
if a guy own an CA ovh account, there is a way he can create a new eu ovh account?

Right now? As far as I know no.
    A few years back? Yes.

I have a EU (FR) account for a long time now and was able to create a US and CA account with the same email address this week.

Yes you can create an account, but can you actually enter your FR address into the CA account? So that it's legit.
Otherwise your account is closed on your first payment.

    Ehhhhh idk...

I think it was the start of this year I got both CA and IE accounts and it has the same address which is in NZ.

Then again I am NZ... It probably doesn't matter (and yes I don't pay tax/vat)

  • Use world for ca account.

Do you have a handy script to install it with the remote-unlock and raid 1?

The 2 drives are 2X 1T NVME and are very new.

I have low requirements for high mainframe CPUs and want an AMD EPYC 7351P.

Do you want to transfer it?
