please don't use coinbase commerce

It's a pain in the ass to use.

They only accept specific kind of wallets & only 2 kind of cryptos. They don't even accept litecoin, the most basic b**th crypto that exist. Imagine if paypal only accept franc from swiss central bank.
plus they'll hold your coins if you smell funny (many horror stories like this, google it)

I know it's very convenient to you as a hosting provider to use it but I waste 5% in fee just for transferring & swapping my coin.
You might want to try to self host (you control it 100%) or use other payment processor like nowpayments or bitpay

Thanks & sorry for the rant

Skhron accepts LTC and does that in a self-custodial way without ridiculous KYC and AML checks

Are you sure? as it was enabled on our account.

bitpay Is very expensive compared to others, try Cryptomus.

    1+ for Cryptomus

    You can swap coins easily.

KYC is pretty easy and fast.

Did you have to certify ownership of your LTC addresses? I got emails thru the last months that all self-hosted wallets require certification now.

Proof of ownership if I understood you correctly related to Travel Rule

    Yes it's called Travel Rule.

    Beautiful. Well regulated 👍

Come on just make it illegal already and let's be done with pretenses. Isn't the Overton window half open at this point?

    +1

I once tried to pay with Coinbase Commerce but gave up after 30 minutes because I couldn't find a way to simply pay, if there is a way without registering (which wouldn't be a problem if one didn't have to verify a phone number and potentially more), please let me know.

Yes, Coinbase overall is absolutely ass as of a year or two ago.

  • How about https://pay4bit.net?

Is Coinbase Commerce one of those insane systems where you can't actually pay from your own, personal wallet? Some providers "accept crypto" but you can only use it if that crypto is in some 3rd party exchange's wallet.

Like bro, just give me the fucking wallet address and amount I need to send. I don't want to single sign-on to share / sync wallet details with some 3rd party online exchange to pay a $10 invoice.

  • FlqFlq Member

    Agree, Cryptomus is much better.

IncogPay open to third-party merchants when?

Ah lol I know that, I'd normally suggest companies to either use cryptomus or litepay.ch or just selfhost something.

For all the KYC and data sharing coinbase does, you may as well use a real bank and get better data/financial/consumer protections.

wouldn't recommend, they take 45 days for fighting disputes and it's a headache. I had to fight 2 disputes and they literally change my balance to -140 EUR - When asked - apparently we have to pay extra to fight disputes. I'm guessing if we win we'll be fine but I think we'll have to pay them a fee if we loose.

I had to completely stop sales through pay4bit until the disputes were resolved.

I would understand if everything happened with notice before hand but I had asked them atleast weeks/a month before my first fight against a dispute and they mentioned nothing about a fee or negative balance to fight a dispute, all they said was we will be asked if we wish to fight it or not. I without proper information decided to fight back only to realize I was put into a situation where I was given negative balance which would only vanish if I win the disputes.

Note: Stay away from unknown payment gateways that onboard you without a need for KYC.

It's common practice for Businesses to submit proper KYC to start accepting payments but pay4bit asked nothing and suddenly when I faced a situation to fight a dispute, I wasn't given proper knowledge on the situation I would be put in if I decide to fight the dispute.

Look into options like Paddle, Stripe, 2checkout, Skrill. Those are more well known.

I've been using this to accept card payments temporarily until I'm done with my stripe and paddle onboarding

    https://marketplace.whmcs.com/product/7373-instant-payment-gateway

It basically let's you accept card payments and sends the money to your crypto wallet.

Seems sketchy but after speaking to the author - I understood the logic and it seemed like a viable solution for a temporary use. Also we're safe from chargebacks so that's a plus sign.

I’m talking about how to accept crypto as a provider, not what payment method to use as a client. Sorry if it wasn’t very obvious.

  • I know coinbase is garbage!

    use NowPayments or Cryptomus
